"I don't understand angel," she said from the passenger seat of my old car "where are we going?""To be completely honest, I'm not sure," I said.
She looked at me with angry confusion, if that's even an emotion, and slumped back into the worn out seat with a humph.

As time went on the sky got lighter and lighter until it was morning. Carmen had fallen asleep for only an hour before they stopped. Angel turned off the car and walked around to the other side to wake up Carmen.
"we're here," she whispered to the pretty girl that was still half asleep in the seat.
"where?" she said and you could hear the sleepiness still in her voice.
"our new home. well, for now at least," Angel said, stepping back to let Carmen see where they were.
Carmen climbed out and looked around. They were in some town that appeared to be very far away from their hometown. They were standing under a sign that was flashing it bright pink letters 'MOTEL' and right next to the letters you could see the paint peeling away to reveal even older black paint.
home sweet home.
