A girl named Mirna walked down an empty street holding her phone and crying. Her girlfriend had just brutally broken up with her. Conveniently, it had just begun to rain, mixing Mirna's salty tears with the water from the sky.
Bittersweets memories came to Mirna's head, echoing and bouncing around.
Hundred of nights under the sheets, skin to skin, the warmth of her lover soaking into her body, and euphoria at the feeling of lips pressed against hers. It only drew her back into hysteria, until she couldn't bring herself to walk through the wet streets and just collapsed on the sidewalk instead.
No cars passed.
No people ran through to get out of the rain.
It was just Mirna, her mind, and the angry gray sky.

A girl named Teddy scrambled through the cold streets to escape the pouring rain, which was soaking through her clothes and making her feel like her bones were covered in the icy water as well. She aimed to get home before the rain, but had gotten distracted by a cute kitten meowing for food in an alleyway.
"Ah, fuck." She mumbled, silently apologizing to her parents for cursing.
She sprinted across the empty roads, nearly slipping and busting her head open at least four times. She could almost feel the warmth of her house, and the smell of her roommate's candles that she liked to use, when suddenly she tripped over something squishy and fell forward, her head bashing violently against the concrete.
"What the fuck?!" The words slipped from her mouth before she could catch them. She collected herself and sat on the sidewalk, putting her soft hands up to her head.
She was bleeding from her head.
For.. God's sake. She wiped the blood - which was still gushing out - away as best as she could so she could try and see what she had tripped over.
It was a girl! A pretty girl, soaked to the brim in a now see through white sweatshirt. She seemed to be asleep.
How could she have fallen asleep in this rain? AND WHY DID I HAVE TO TRIP OVER HER?!
Rain pooled over the girl's closed eyes, her long black eyelashes gently peeking out of the water. Teddy frowned and looked around. There were no public buildings that were open around there. She grabbed her phone from her wet bag to check the time, shielding the precious rectangle with her hands.
The lock screen read '12:34 am'. Teddy quickly put her phone back in the bag to keep it from getting wet.
Okay. I'm just gonna take her home with me. I can't just leave her here. Teddy sighed and swiped at the spot on her forehead, before she stood and put her bag in comfortable position over her shoulder.
She crouched down and picked up the passed out girl, hoisting her over her shoulder as best as she could before she began the walk home.

Mirna was warm.
She felt warm and dry, and that didn't seem right. As she slowly came back to the world from her exhausted sleep, she saw herself in a place she didn't recognize. It smelled sweet and it was warm, not like the home she had left only a few hours ago. Mirna rubbed her eyes, and realized that for some reason, she was not feeling panicked or scared or even disoriented at all.
To her, it felt like another day, maybe even a good day, and that definitely wasn't right.
She sat up, her eyes still closed and her long black hair falling forward to crowd her tired looking face. She rubbed her eyes and stretched.
"Oh.. You're awake." Mirna jumped slightly when she heard a soft voice from somewhere behind her.
It was a girl! She had soft looking blushed skin and pale brown hair, framed perfectly around her pretty face.
Mirna blinked in surprise and moved to get out of bed. She felt the girl's eyes on her as she moved. "Um.. Where am I?" Mirna asked.
The girl bit her lip, "Oh. Sorry. You're at my house." Mirna frowned, about to send a flurry of questions when the girl began to walk toward her. Mirna began to turn red as the stranger girl put her hand up to Mirna's forehead. "How are you feeling? I almost thought you had OD'd or something when I found you last night." She seemed satisfied with Mirna's temperature and pulled her hand away, instead opting to rest it on her left shoulder.
"I found you in the rain.. Are you okay?" Mirna nodded.
"I should get going..." Mirna began, looking down at the ground as she messed with her sleeves. "Ahem.. No offense, but I don't know you." Mirna brushed her hair back behind her ear and looked up at the stranger.
"Okay.. But, you were in bad condition last night.. So, would it be okay if I got your number?"
"Oh, uh. Sure." Mirna said in surprise. She listen off her number to the girl, who took out her phone and immediately added the number to her contacts.
"Your shoes are right by the front door." The stranger led Mirna out of the clean bedroom and into what looked like a living room and pointed and the front door. Mirna frowned when she saw a short-haired girl sitting on the couch, rapidly drinking a huge bottle of alcohol as she stared at her phone.
"Uhh, who's -"
The girl quickly cut her off, "That's just my roommate, MalCUM, don't mind her. She's dumb." The roommate glared at the stranger and flipped her off.
"Okay, I guess you'll be going, right?" The stranger smiled and watched Mirna walk out the door.
Okay. This is gonna end badly, but I'm going for it. Mirna bit her lip, before she grabbed the sides of the stranger's face and planted a wet kiss on her lips.
She pulled away and looked at the girl, who was staring back with wide eyes.
"Please, please, please call me later." Mirna whispered, before her courage died out and she quickly ran away.
"Wait! My name is Teddy!" She heard the girl call after her, but she kept walking, too nervous to turn back.
But she knew, her and Teddy would definitely be doing more of that later.
