Tony opened up his laptop and began to type in 'how to tell your boyfriend you're pregnant' if it worked for women surely it could work for him too.

All the suggestions were wild romantic gestures. Nothing small and simple, it's not like he could just say "I'm pregnant" right? And what if Steve left him because he was mutated or because he didn't want a child.

What if this child grew up as he did? Tony didn't want to think about it too much, so he half-closed the lid and laid it on Steve's side of the bed before bunching himself up beneath the duvet.

Steve walked into the room he shared with Tony, there was a small computer screen alight on his side of the bed. He pulled his cargo pants off and replaced them with sweats and a grey SHIELD sweatshirt before picking the computer up and reading the screen.

It read 'how to tell your boyfriend you're pregnant' and Steve's eyebrows went up in shock. Either this was some prank Clint was pulling or his lover was pregnant, but if Tony did have his child growing inside him then it was best to just be kind about it all. Tony was probably hormonal and worried about having a child after the emotional abuse he had gone through with his father.

So Steve put the computer on the side table and climbed into bed, pulling Tony into his arms and smiling at the thought of having a son or daughter. Steve rested his hands on where Tony's baby bump, the smaller man had started and he hadn't even realised it. Steve fell asleep smiling.

Tony awoke with a jump, sitting up in bed he realised that Steve had moved the computer to his bedside table and the screen as at a 90-degree angle. Tony had forgotten to shut down the browser tab and now Steve had probably seen what he had looked up and probably knew that Tony was an abomination and Steve would hate him and leave Tony and this child.

Tony breathed heavily, so heavily he woke Steve. Steve immediately gathered his lover into his arms and Tony calmed down.
"Tones is there something you wanna tell me." Steve's voice was soft, but Tony feared the worst. Tears began to slip down Tony's cheeks and his hyperventilating turned into sobs, wrecking his chest.

Steve held him through his episode.
"Tony it's not a mutation, it's wonderful you can give life and I'm so lucky." Steve smiled and Tony calmed down again.
"But... How did you know?" Tony questioned.

"Your father, he had it and while we were friends, he used to confide in me. Howard felt like he could trust me because I got the same amount of discrimination for my size and sexuality that he would've if he ever told anyone. Only me and Dr Abraham Erskine knew about it. There was never a chance for him to get pregnant since he wasn't homosexual. He found your mother and he had you, he prayed you didn't have the same 'condition' like him." Steve told him.

"Also Natasha told me and I saw your search. Then it was pretty easy to deduce." Steve finished and Tony sadly laughed. Steve cupped the smaller man's cheeks and brought him in for a chaste kiss.

"So you won't leave because I'm mutated or an abomination?" Tony asked tears streaks on his cheeks.

(A/N: Hehe that rhymes)

"Tony, I would never, but..." Steve trail off and reached behind him as Tony feared the worst again, but Steve just pulled out a small black box. "If we are going to have a child, it should have parents that are married." Steve opened the box to reveal a golden ring and Tony inhaled sharply.

He gave a few breathy laughs before tears of joy replaced his tears of sadness. "Yes, oh my god yes." Steve smiled before sliding the ring onto Tony's finger and kissing him softly.
"I guess we'll have to start planning a wedding then?" Steve smiled.

The next couple of week were relatively stressy since both Tony and Steve wanted to get married before they had the child. The baby was only six months away and they had not decided a name, they had nowhere for the child to sleep, they didn't know the gender of the child and they were still debated who should take whose last name.

"But my last name is more... Well known." They were sitting on the couch, Tony had his feet up on Steve's lap while they watch Big Little Liars. Tony was eating chips and jam with a holo-screen of baby names on his lap as Steve ate pro-biotic yoghurt out of the tube with a spoon. "And I'd have to change my company name."

"Well, I'd have to through so much paperwork to change my name because of SHEILD," Steve argued back. "Is that Nichole Kidman?"

"Huh? Oh yeah. How does the name Peter sound?" Tony asked.
"Hmm Peter Rogers. I like it." Steve tried the name out to see how it sounded.
"I think you mean Peter Stark." Tony raised his eyebrows and Steve had never been more in-love with anyone in his life.
