TayPOV
After my parents and I decide to let my Dad take theSan Franciscojob, they spend the rest of the day on the phone with a real estate agent, trying to find someone to take the house on short notice, since they wanted to book a flight for sometime next week.
I pretty much just hang out in my room all day, I’m tired from just the sheer drama of last night and after that it’s not like I really have many friends. I start to take down a couple posters and pictures at a point of the day when I get particularly bored, since I’ll need to take them down eventually for when we move.
Around 3 o’clock I’m reading a book by Jennifer Echols that I’ve already read four times, it’s called Forget You and it never gets old, but back to the point, while I was busy with that my phone started ringing playing the song Want You Back by Cher Lloyd.
I’m confused as to who would be calling me right now but I answer it without even looking at the caller ID knowing that if it’s some creepo I can just hang up and block the number for future purposes.
“Hey girl!” I would recognize that squealy annoying voice anywhere, Morgan.
But why is she calling me? After what she said to me at the party last night I didn’t expect to hear from her ever again unless it was to insult or publicly humiliate me, but she seems really happy. This is weird.
“What do you want Morgan?” I ask cautiously.
“What is this? Am I not allowed to call my best girl when I want to?” She exclaims over dramatically.
“Do you remember Connor’s party last night?” I answer her question with a question.
“Actually no not really, but who cares memories are over rated, if I was drunk enough to forget it must’ve been fun, right?” Oh, well now I’m clearer on why she doesn’t completely hate me.
“Well since you don’t remember, would you like me to fill you in on the highlights of the night?” I fake excitement.
“Of course!”
“Well you insulted me like a total b*tch, in front of everyone, because I wouldn’t make out with some dirtbag guy and we aren’t friends anymore.” I summarize all the important parts and then hang up before she has a chance to reply.
I fall back onto my bed replaying our conversation in my head, maybe I just shouldn’t have told her about what she said last night, but I guess if I hadn’t someone else would mention it. And there’s the fact that I’m moving in a week so I don’t need her as a friend anymore.
My phone vibrating loudly against the hard cover of my book, where I left it, brings me out of my thoughts.
I have a text message, from who? Morgan herself.
You don’t wanna be my friend? Fine then, you won’t have any, just wait you ugly b*tch, your life will be hell
I laugh a little bit when I read the message, on any other day, this would scare me, but today I know I pretty much don’t have to worry about anything, sure she can make my life horrible for a couple days but after that I never plan to talk to her again.
So I reply with exactly what I’m thinking, without telling her that I’m moving because we are no longer friends, therefore it is none of her business and I don’t want her to know where I am after I leave.
