My due date is 25 July next year, but the baby is growing fast. My stomach has risen three centimeters already in the last week!
Brandon took me for a scan today, and I was so happy to go.
When I lied down on the bed thingy, the doctor lifted up my shirt to reveal my belly.
"How old is it?" He said, as he smeared a weird gel that made my skin cold on my stomach.
"One month." I said, smiling and feeling awkward. Brandon squeezed my hand. "You're glowing, Nikki." He said reassuringly.
"Thanks sweetie, but it's because of all the sweat." I winked.
The doctor then took the weird scanner thingy and slowly moved it over my belly.
"Riiiiight. Now if you would look onto the computer screen, you can clearly see a baby. " he said and I turned my head, to see my own child on the screen.
"Just saying, that in this stage, it looks like you'll be having a boy." He said, and smiled.
I squealed and might have accidentally squeezed off Brandon's hand.
"We're going to have a boy! I'm going to be a father and you a mother!" Brandon said, laughing.
"Hold your horses! I'm saying that there's a big chance that it's a boy, but at this early stage, it's a little unclear." The doctor replied.
"Oh! Okay. I don't mind, as long as it's a baby!" I joked. Im going to me a mother!
After the scan, I really felt like eating sardines. Honestly? I don't know why.
"Hey. Brandon?"
"Yes love?"
"I miss my parents." I said, pouting.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go visit them!" He said, laughing.
"But what are we going to say when we get there?"
Brandon shook his head. "Nikki, where were we just moments ago?"
"..... At the doctor."
"And what did we just find out at the doctor?"
"That maybe I'm going to have a b.... Oooooh! Now I know!" I said, finally catching it.
So we drove off to visit my parents. When I walked in, I wanted to talk to Brianna, sister to sister. She's 16 anyways.
I walked into her bedroom, seeing her reading a book.
She spotted me, and was about to go tackle me when I stopped her and reminded what was in my stomach.
"So how's high school treating you?" I ask, since she was a sophomore.
"Well, the seniors are being jerks, and... I have a crush on somebody. "
"Remember that boy, Oliver?"
"What, mrs wallabanger's grandson?"
Brianna shyly bit her lip and nodded. I squealed.
"You have a crush on Oliver?!"
"YOU should have seen him! He lost all his baby fat and he is sooooo hawt!!"
"There isn't anyone competing you for him, is there?" I said winking.
"Well, not from what I know."
"Ohhhhh yes!!! I am SO gonna make a ship name for you two!!"
"Nikki, please don't."
"Hmmm... Brolianna? Olianna?"
"Stop it!"
"I GOT IT! Broliver!!!!" I yelled and laughed.
Suddenly, Brandon peeked into the room, causing Brianna's eyes to widen.
"Heeeeey cootie guuuy!!" Brianna teased, wiggling her shoulders.
He smirked, and punched Brianna playfully in the arm.
"Well, hello to you too, Brianna."
