Ryan

What time is it? 

Woah, when did we get in this position? 

Well, at least it's comfortable I guess? 

Oh, why did I just put my arm around him? 

Stupid subconscious. 

Wait, I think he's waking up! 

Shit, uh, pretend to be asleep!

But little did Ryan know, he wasn't the only one freaking out.

Jude

Did he just put his arm around me?

I should probably sit up before he wakes up. 

I don't wanna have that awkward conversation.

As soon as I sit up, I regret it. 

Too fast...

Vision blurring.

"Good morning," Ryan says, waking up shortly after I do, "You ok?"

"Yeah, I just sat up too fast. Give me a second, I'll be fine," I explain, although Ryan still looks confused.

"I'm probably low on iron."

"Oh," He says, "I'll be right back."

"Here," He says, tossing me a bottle of iron pills. 

"Thank you," I say, a little shocked.

Wow, he would make a great father someday.

And now I'm picturing us with kids, great.

Wait-

Great, now I've got feelings to deal with on top of the whole... getting kicked out thing.

"Anytime." We lock eyes, he smiles, and my heart almost explodes.

After I snap back into reality, I get up and go to the bathroom. I didn't need to go, but I wanted to be alone so I could clear my head.

I sigh. I've got feelings for him, huh?  How long have I had them? When did they start?

"When did what start?" 

Did I say all that out loud?

"Yeah, one thing I've noticed, sometimes, you think out loud, without even realizing it."

I open the door.

"How much of that did you hear?"

"Not much, just that last bit."

That was a close one.

"I didn't mean to eavesdrop, even if it was just a little," He continues, " I'm sorry." 

He is so sweet.

"No need to apologize," I say with a smile.

He returns the smile and butterflies are having a party in my stomach. I walk over to his couch in an attempt to get away before he sees me blushing.

I still can't believe I have feelings for him! I did the one thing I swore not to. Catch feelings for my best friend.

"Hello? Earth to Jude!" I hear Ryan say, after zoning back in.
