Jude

"Hey, Jude the dude!"

"Hey, Annita the... I got nothing. I'll add 'make Annita a nickname' to my to-do list."

She laughs. "Why are you here so early?"

If I tell him I'm staying with Ryan, she'll tease me later. If I don't, Ryan will ask why not. It's a lose-lose situation. Oh, well.

"I'm staying with Ryan for a while, and since his mom works in the office, we have to get here extra early."

"Oh, staying with Ryan, huh. May I ask why?"

The bell rings

Saved by the bell.

"I'll tell you at lunch. See you later."

"So, let me get this straight-" she laughs, "or gay, if you will," we laugh and she continues, "You came out to your mom and she kicked you out, so now you live with Ryan and his mom."

"Exactly," I reply.

"I'll be right back." She says. "I have to pee."

"We didn't need to know that," I say as she walks away.

Suddenly, I get a text.

Annita: You're living with your crush.

Jude the dude: yeah?

A: Who tops?

J: sigh

Ryan topped, didn't he?

Annita returns and I glare at her.

"What?" She questions with a smirk.

I give her a "you know what" look.

"Look who's back!" I say sarcastically.

"You know you missed me." She replies as she sits down.

"Not really," I say, laughing.

the bell rings

"See you later alligator!" Annita says enthusiastically.

"In a while crocodile!" I say just as enthusiastically as we part ways.

"So, what was that interaction with Annita at lunch?" Ryan says on our way back to his house.

"What do you mean?" I say, pretending to be clueless when I know exactly what he's talking about.
