Dancing Sister (T.H)

Chapter 4

Kits POV
It's competition day and let's just say I'm sorta kinda mortified! So many things could go wrong!!!! We could fall, slip, forget! Ugh stop it Kit this isn't helping.
I walk downstairs after packing my things for today and see everyone already sitting at the table eating, the only spare seat being next to Tom. Ugh why me?

After an awkward breakfast I get a text from Noah letting me know he's here to pick me up.
"Cya later guys" I say walking towards the door. As I get into Noah's car I receive a text from Sam telling me that.. TOMS COMING!!! "Shit" I mutter to myself. "What's wrong" Noah asks as he drives to the competition. "Toms coming today" I say without any emotion. "Isn't that a good thing? He's never seen you dance before it will be good" Noah says trying to be positive. "Yeah I guess".

We get to the competition and after signing in and having an awkward run in with our biggest competition Noah and I start getting ready. Just as I finish my makeup for my first qualifiers solo the twins, Paddy, Harrison and Tom all walk in. "Good luck today guys you'll do great" Harrison says to Noah and I. "Thanks Haz" I say as I give him a hug. Haz has always been like a big brother to me. Tom walks over and wishes us luck after the others and gives me a hug. It was nice and awkward at the same time, and with that they left o find there seats.

As I headed backstage Noah gave me a hug and reassured me that I was ready and I would do great. Then headed into the audience to watch before we had our duet. As I began to run through my routine in my head I heard my name announced "please welcome number 415 Kit Holland, our reigning champion, dancing to 'You Should See Me In A Crown' and I took a deep breath as I walked out onto stage. I got to my starting position and all the attention was on me. That's when I noticed Tom sitting nervously as he waited for me to start. I could get used to him watching my competitions I think to myself, and with that the music starts.
I feel the music flow through me as I do my dance the best I've ever done it. And once I finish I hear a thunderous applause and look to see Tom smiling alongside the boys and my parents. And Noah sitting nearby.

After my first solo I go backstage and start preparing for my first duet with Noah. And we quickly head backstage just as the person before us finishes.
We hear our names called and we both walk out, preparing for the dance and the music begins. We go through the dance and as the lift comes I begin to get nervous, but as I see my older brother smiling at me from the audience I get a sudden wave of confidence and we nail it. We finish the duet and I only have one more solo this morning and then awards this afternoon where we find out if we made it to finals. Then we have to improv a solo and have thirty minutes to make up choreography for a duet.

(Lift at 45 seconds)

I quickly go and change into my next costume for my second qualifiers solo in the contemporary section. This is my favourite dance so far and I choreographed it all by myself which is why I think I love it so much.
I walk out and begin dancing and I can tell that I'm nailing this dance. It's perfect for me and I really hope the judges like it. After finishing I look out and smile at the judges before exiting the stage.

( second solo)
As soon as I get back to my dressing room I change into a tank top and trackies and take my make up off before telling Noah I'll see him when it's time for the awards, and I head out to find my family.

Toms POV
I can't believe how amazing she was. My little sister has so much talent and I never even noticed it or acknowledged it. Maybe that's why she's kinda mad at me. But I'm determined to be home more often. And I'm sure she will make the finals, I know it.

She wonders over and I immediately pull her in for a hug and tell her how amazing she was. When she released from the hug she smiles at me and thanks me before going to hug the others as well and thanking them.
We go out for lunch together as a family as well as Harrison and we all talk about what's been going on and how amazing Kits dancing was. Although she doesn't sound as confident but we all know she's gonna get through to the finals.
I missed being around my family.
