Chapter 25 - Van

He hesitantly closes the door and dials his sister's number. Ivette picks up and immediately asks him: "Did you tell her?" 

Dart sighs and grumbles: "I did, yes. You could start with a hello, like normal people." 

Ivette laughs and says: "You know I am nowhere near normal. And that's all because I have such a weird brother, he has ruined me forever." 

He laughs at her joke and says: "I called maman too." 

Ivette stops laughing and carefully asks: "And how did that go?" 

Dart tells her how their mother thinks Jo is just like all the previous 'girlfriends' and probably after his money or fame. And that he hung up angry, refusing to listen to another second of it. 

Ivette sighs and says: "Yeah, I expected that to be honest. And I kind of understand where she is coming from. All those other girls were so.... Well nothing like Jo really." 

Dart grumbles and says: "Not you too. Jo said she understood as well. She even wants to meet maman." 

Ivette replies amused: "I knew it. She is the woman I have always told you about. She is perfect for you."

 Dart agrees and says: "Yeah, you were right all along. And she wants to thank you the next time you two meet." 

Ivette sounds surprised: "Thank me? For what?" 

Dart stays quiet for a while and then says: "For saving me." 

Ivette stays quiet for a while too and then says: "I did it for her. I knew she existed. I had no idea she would be this pretty and strong at the same time. But still..." 

Dart smiles and asks: "You think she is pretty?" 

"Yeah Dart and I was trying to hold back too. She is gorgeous and you know it. And that hair, dear God. And that ass..." 

Dart coughs and says: "You know she's mine right?" 

Ivette laughs and says: "Yeah, I know bro. But you know we have similar tastes. And she is amazing, but totally devoted to you, so I am not even going to try." She laughs and teases him some more. She ends the conversation with: "I will talk to maman and you should stop worrying for now. You have her, forever and everyone's jealous. Enjoy it!"

Dart says goodbye to her and opens his laptop to check his emails and social media. He watches the commercial with Jo on the roof and loves the end result. She looks so amazing in that red dress, staring into his eyes. He picks up his phone again and sends Dirk a message. 

Hey Dirk.
How are you?
Commercial looks great. 

Dirk calls him and tells him everything is fine and that they should find a way to come to The Netherlands this weekend. Because their plan to confront Mark with Jo everywhere is coming together. "The gallery will fill the shop window with pictures of Jo and two billboards will show Jo and you for both campaigns, one above the other. And all significant Dutch newspapers will run a story on the cover about the Dutch girl, making it as a model and stealing your heart. Dart it's going to be awesome! That bastard is going to regret everything he ever did to her." 

Dirk mumbles and then speaks up clearly. "Oh, I also have a very nice photo to show you. Hold on, I'll look for it and send it. I asked a friend to wait for the bastard as he came off the plane." Dart hears him mumble some more and then hears a beep as the picture arrives on his phone. He looks at it with a very amused look on his face. Mark has blood on his shirt, a weird stain in his pants and his nose is clearly broken. Jo is going to love this picture.
