"Babe, where are you going?" Nova sleepily asks as he feels the change in pressure on the bed.

Marvel lets out a few curse words under his breath and then says to Nova, "I'm just gonna go for a walk and then head to the park."

Sitting up Nova says, "Okay if you wait a little bit, I'll go with you."

"No!" Marvel replies causing Nova to stop getting out of bed, "No, you can't come with me...I need some time to clear my head."

"Okay, come back when you're done, I've got a surprise for you." Nova says with a happy smile on his face. 

Marvel nods and then walks to Nova's front door, he lets out a sad sigh before he leaves. He still had some time to kill so he decided to walk around Gotham, even in the bad parts. He wanted to take his mind off of what he was going to do. Hell if his father knew what he was about to do he'd have a heart attack. He raised him better than that and Marvel knew that. 

But it had to be done. He had to do this if he wanted to keep his family and his friends safe. He'd pay any price. He knew that his family could take care of themselves but this man was dangerous, he could kill them and that was something Marvel couldn't let happen. 

When the time rolled around he found himself sitting on one of the many park benches, just waiting for this man to show up. When his watch did twelve beeps his body began to fill with dread. Did Nova follow him? Was he going to die if he did? 

A man in top hat and suit sits down next to him, a briefcase sits on his lap. "I am surprised to see you came, but then again, I know you value your friends' and families lives."

"What do you want from me?" Nova spits out venomously, wanting so badly to sink his teeth into the man and fill him full of his venom, not caring that he'd kill someone.

The man chuckles and says, "Well I want you of course. You were my prized possession before Red Hood stole you away from me."

"I'm not an item you can flaunt around, I'm a person." Marvel replies, anger lacing his words, "My dad saved me from you and gave me a better life."

"Watch your tone, boy!" The man says turning to face Marvel, his full appearance coming into view. His red eyes burning a hole into Marvels' face, "Now this is what you're going to have to do. Tonight you're going to meet me in the alleyway where Red Hood took you and you are going to come with me. You have today to say your goodbyes. It's time for you to come home." 

"And if I don't you'll murder my family and my friends?" Marvel asks wanting his whole plan on the table. 

"If you come with me I'll leave them alone." The man says grabbing Marvels' chin with his hand lifting it so he could look at Marvels' eyes. "Oh how, I've missed your beautiful eyes." 

Alarm bells began to ring in his head, this man was totally giving off pedophilic vibes. "Fine...I'll go with you."

"Goodie, now I don't have to make things worse." The man next to him says, "Now go say your goodbyes."

Marvel quickly gets up and moves towards the exit of the park, heading straight to Nova's house. When he got there he went straight to Nova's room and pulled the bigger boy into his arms. He wanted to stay there in his arms forever, but he knew that couldn't happen. "Hey, I wasn't expecting you to be here so soon." 

When Marvel doesn't pull away after a few minutes Nova knows somethings up, "Marvel, hey, what's wrong?"

Marvel pulls away from his boyfriend, tears streaming down his face, "I uh...I gotta go away for a long time...I don't know when I'll be back."
