Marvel laid in his bed upstairs, awake and fully aware of everything that was going on around him. He couldn't help but listen to the conversation that was brewing downstairs, "Who all knew about Marvel being the Spider?"

Jason had brought in Marvel's friends and called in close immediate family. "Bruce you knew?! How long have you known!"

"I put the pieces together the first time he used the gym. The way he was training himself matched the Spiders' fighting style to a T." Bruce replies, Marvel could only imagine the look on his father's face.

He moved on to Nova and Charlie, "And you two, how long have you known?"

"We've known since the first time he put on the mask." Charlie tells him and Nova continues, "We didn't tell anyone because it wasn't our place to tell. It's Marvel's."

He could hear his dad release a shocked breathe. He knew the yelling was going to continue so he pushed himself to get out of bed and gently made his way downstairs. He walked into the living room and everyone's attention turned to him, all the eyes in the room were on him. His father went to speak but Marvel lifted up his hand and shot a small web from his wrist. If the rest of his family didn't believe he was the Spider then they did now.

"I'm only going to say this one time so dad don't even take that off until I'm finished." Marvel says pointing a dinner at his dad before continuing, "I never said anything because I knew you'd make me quit. You turn it into a big deal and it's not. It's the same thing you use to do and frankly I'm not going to quit. I love helping people and I'm going to do it weather you want me to or not."

He turns to the rest of his family and says, "I know that you guys would understand but I wanted keep this secret because I wasn't ready to tell everyone who I was just yet."

Jason rips the webs off his face and he looks at his son, realization and a small amount of shock was written on his face. He gets up from the chair he was sitting in and says, "I never wanted this life for you. It's dangerous and one way or another it's going to break you."

"I know it's dangerous but if someone doesn't then who will?" Marvel replies throwing that question out there, "I grew up in a family with superheroes and your expecting me to not follow in their footsteps."

"I get that your worried for me but you gotta let me make my own choices, let me learn from the mistakes I'm going to make." Marvel was expecting his father to say that he was grounded or let out a huff and walk into the kitchen.

But his actions surprised the young hero. He pulled him into a hug and says when he pulls away, "I know I do. That's why your going to continue being the Spider, but under a few conditions."

"You're getting an upgrade. You aren't fight gangsters and mob bosses in a hoodie and a pair of leggings. And finally, no more secrets. We want to know if anything big happens, we don't want a repeat of last week." Jason tells him, his tone was stern and it showed Marvel that he wasn't messing around.

"Now head back upstairs and rest like your supposed to be doing." Jason points to stairs and Marvel nods.

Nova gets up from his chair as Marvel begins to slowly walk towards the staircase. He comes up behind Marvel and scoops him up, "Don't worry, I've got you."

Marvel lays his head on his boyfriends chest and listens to his heart beat as he walks up the stairs, being careful not to move him around with each step. When he gets to Marvel's room, Nova sets him down then covers him up with blankets. He goes to head back downstairs but Marvel reaches a hand out and grabs his, "Can you stay with me?"

"Yeah, I'll stay." Nova tells him as he takes off his shoes and climbs onto the bed, laying in right next to Marvel.

Marvel snuggles in closer and a big smile plays on his lips, "God I missed you so much."

It wasn't until after Marvel fell asleep and Nova went home when the nightmares sunk in. Horrible images twisted and turned in his head. When he finally was able to wake he found himself curled up on the ceiling. His body shaking and twisting. He found himself needing it. Wanting it.

Putting on a jacket over his shirt, he slips his shoes on over his socks. Opening the window, he uses his webs to swing out, making his way into Gotham. He knew all to well that his uncles and grandfather were going to be out patrolling so he knew he was going to have to stay to the streets. He couldn't draw attention to himself: that was the last thing he needed.

Getting to the GCPD was easy, now for the hard part; breaking in.

The first thing he did was go around to the back of the building and cut the power. If there was no power, there wasn't going to be any cameras. No evidence he was there. Go in the through the back, he breaks the door handle off and instantly goes straight to the room that monster was being held in. After knocking out the guards, he swiftly enters the room and the man handcuffed to table says mockingly, "I knew you'd be back little spider."

"I-I..." His voice began to tremble. He couldn't form a sentence.

Marvel moves closer to the man, like an animal stalking its prey. Sitting on the man's lap, his fangs were already out and his eyes were glowing with anticipation. "I know little spider." His voice was soft and alluring.

Knowing exactly what he needed, the man's fangs elongate and he sinks them into the same spot he did a day earlier. Marvel leans his head back and a moan escapes his quivering lips. When the man finished injecting his venom into Marvel he releases him and pulls back. "You need to go now before someone comes to check."

Getting off the man he does as he's instructed and leaves the police station the way he came. Only he didn't know what he did until the next morning. Climbing back into his bedroom window he changes out of his sweaty clothes and walks down the hall. He was too high at the moment to know any better and small part in his brain was wanting comfort.

Opening the door to his fathers' room, he walks over to the bed, completely dazed. But like they say, old habits die hard. Marvel gently lifts up the blanket and climbs in to bed with his dad just like he use to when he was a little kid. Upon feeling the weight on the bed change, Jason's eyes pop open to see a head full of blue hair. Wrapping his arms around his kid he smiles at the old memory popping into his head. Falling back to sleep was easier for the both of them.

The next morning the two make their way down stairs and join everyone for breakfast, the radio softly playing until a news report comes over the air. "Reports say that late last night an enhanced meta with spider abilities broke out of The GCPD precinct. Authorities are searching for this man-."

The rest of the report faded away. He hands tightened around his cereal bowl and it ended up collapsing under the pressure. Everyone's eyes turned to focus on Marvel. The broken ceramic cut his hands which had now started to bleed over the table. Springing into action, Tim quickly picks up Rose and carries her out of the dinning room while Jason went for the med kit. Everyone could see the fear. It was written as plain as day.

Damian goes to say something to Marvel but he  quickly snaps out of the trance like state he was in, takes a look at the bowl and turns to Alfred, "I'm sorry about the bowl."

Getting up from table he makes his way out of the dinning room and goes up to his room, going straight to the bathroom and putting his hands under the faucet. Once the blood runs clear he dries them off and watches as they wounds begin to heal.

He was kept on constant watch. No matter where he went, except for the bathroom, there was always a family member with him. They even made a family night it and called Dick and the rest of the bat fam in like Duke, Kate, Cass, Steph, and Barbra. So when the movie started everyone picked their seats. Rose sat happily with Tim and Jason while Marvel sat by himself, that is until Damian sat next to him. The young Robin new he was going through a tough time and wanted to try and be there for him like he'd done for him so many times in the past.

The movie began to play and Marvel only made it half way through went his vision started to go all funky. The images on the screen began to twist and change into bright vibrant words. All spelling out : Come Find Me.

His eyes nor his brain could take any more of the bright imagery and he finally passed out, laying his head on Damian's shoulder. His body beginning to sweat.
