Jacob, David and Jeremy were waiting in the kitchen. All three were wearing their dark green uniforms. The jackets were just to their waist and double breasted. They had gold colored buttons with very dark green roping linking the buttons. They all wore dark green pants and black knee high boots. They had three large picnic baskets. The dragon riders were smiling as they approached. Eulia stood very close to Jacob and placed a hand on his chest, "I love a man in uniform," she whispered. Jacob laughed in response then with each of the men holding the hand of a dragon rider they walked out the kitchen door, down the porch following a paved walkway to a small hidden garden with a pond flanked by two enormous oak trees.
"That necklace your wearing, is that new?" Jacob asked.
"You're all wearing the same necklace," Jeremy added.
"No it's not new, why?"
"Never saw it before."
"It's usually hidden in my shirt," Eulia said looking down, "OH! maybe we should button up..."
"No, you look fine, I was...ah... just curious, no need to...ah...button," Jacob said blushing a little and feeling like he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"So you like seeing my necklace?" she continued to tease smiling with delight her eyes sparkling as she looked into his eyes.
"Yes...it's lovely."
"The necklace or me?" She whispered conspiratorially, "This new corset kinds of pushes one up, if you notice that kind of thing."
"You, and your necklace," Jacob said hoarsely, "I did notice."
"I'm...we're...that is, are witches...you know, this necklace is magic," Eulia said
"It allows us to communicate with the coven and tells others if we're in danger," Phoebe added.
"I didn't know you were witches," Jeremy said.
"I might just put a spell on you," Jo whispered teasing.
"You have me under your spell, Jo," Jeremy whispered squeezing her her hand. Jo looked into his eyes smiling.
"Decolletage," Phoebe whispered as she leaned over speak into Jo's ear." Jo laughed.
"What did you say..." David's words were lost as six of the butterfly dragons began flying around them. The dragons were excited and shed a myriad of sparkling lights that landed in the hair and on the shoulders of the dragon riders. The lights faded after several seconds but the effects were seen by everyone on the porch and in the yard. "What was that," David said, "you were beautiful, all of you."
"That was fairy fire," Eulia said.
"I saw that when you all arrived, you had over thirty little dragons on that day," Jeremy said in awe.
"I'm not really sure how many of the butterfly dragons follow us," Eulia said, "but Pinkey is the most persistent." They walked through the gate and into the garden. The three large dragons also landed in the garden blocking the gate.
"Your dragon is bigger then the others," Jeremy said.
"He's older by a year. They're ensuring privacy."
"So behave yourself Jake, my chaperone is watching," Eulia said. David and Jeremy took a large blanket from one of the baskets and lay it on the ground. Then taking their hands lead the dragon riders to stand on the blanket.
"Ladies." Jacob said gesturing and the dragon riders sat demurely on the blanket. They had their knees together and their legs folded and to their side. Their ankles were crossed, The men sat next to the women. "This is an unusual picnic, textures, smells, tastes but not sight or touch."
