"Wakie, wakie sleepy heads," Eulia said happily.

"What are you doing up so early?" Phoebe said as she yawned and stretched.

"I've been up for a while. I got each of your washing pitchers filled too."

"So you were up traipsing about a house full of lonely men dressed in just your short slip," Jo asked.

"No, I borrowed a long coat I found in that closet there," she pointed.

"Yesterday you were in dream land while we flew," Phoebe said as she poured the water into her wash basin.

"I just decided I like kissing, that's all," Eulia said as she joined her friends as they washed up.

"I called you three times to go yesterday," Jo said, "but you two had your lips locked." Eulia laughed in response.

"I didn't hear you."

"How could you Euly," Phoebe teased, "you and my brother were fully engaged in kissing.

"It kinda was and accident," Eulia said in almost a whisper. "I was feeding Jake strawberries and kissing him, you know. So it just felt natural to feed him from my mouth instead of my fingers."

"I can understand your logic. We all saw how that worked," Jo said.

"I want to do it again," Eulia said, "the kissing part, no strawberries."

"This girl needs a chaperone," Phoebe teased.

"Out of curiosity," Jo said quietly, "what was it like?"

"I had a small strawberry in my lips and I kissed him. Then I pushed the berry in with my tongue," Eulia paused, her eyes closed as she remembered each detail, savoring the moment, "my tongue found his tongue and it felt like I exploded. I was dizzy, I thought I forgot how to breath. It felt funny low in my belly. I've never felt that before. I stopped because I really needed to breath."

"You were deep kissing girl!" Phoebe said.

"Have you, Fee, deep kissed?"

"Not yet, but I heard the village girls talking about it."

"I know Jake liked it."

"How, did he tell you?"

"No," Eulia was giggling, "his thingy got bigger. I was sitting on it."

"I repeat, this girl needs a chaperone."

"General Thaddeus was very impressed with what we reported last night," Jo said officially changing the subject.

"You mean the long train leaving Dexter," Phoebe asked.

"This basin washing is awful," Eulia said, "I want a proper bath. What train?"

"Were you even with us as we flew," Jo asked.

"Her body was Jo, we can guess where her mind was."

"The train is significant because it means the chief magistrate has flown south and taken his government to Houston-Whittier," Jo said patiently.

"So that's why everyone was so excited," Eulia said.

"I'm glad you were there, Euly," Jo said sarcastically. "Now we have our morning flight, then dragon care and laundry to day, and that's before lunch."

They grabbed a breakfast sandwich from the kitchen and left to saddle their dragon and fly over the battlefield. After giving their report Jo suggested that they leave their jackets, vest and boots and handle the dragon care routine still in uniform. They gathered buckets, brushes and oil and walked to the area near the water pump behind the barn complex. They were all barefoot with their tight flight pants ending at mid-calf. They had their sleeves rolled up and their hair in a coiled braid at the back of their head. They received a lot of scrutiny as they set up.
