Hermione Granger
The walk of shame is something I have never been a part of. I never planned on doing it but today could've very well been a change in plans. I genuinely wanted it at first and I'm glad Draco didn't allow it to go that far but he did let it go somewhere...
As I open my dorm room I instantly see Ginny sitting there in a pair of grey joggers and a loose pink crop top.
"Where have you been missy! Please tell me it was with Draco!" Ginny squeals and scrunches up her nose, falling back on to my bed.
"Jesus, too loud," I cringe at my best friend and shut the door behind me, falling down against the door. My body feels like shit, walking feels like I'm climbing Everest and my head is pounding, not that the early morning walk to my dorm helped any.
"Oh my god," Ginny laugh and looks at me with smugness written all over her face, "you are so hungover!!! Did you sleep with him???"
"God Ginny no!!" I hiss and then wince as my brain bounces from side to side in my skull.
"What why not?? Do you need glasses??"
"Oh shut up."
Draco Malfoy
The cold water runs over my body as I lean against the tiled wall.
She's the one girl I can't get out of my mind and she's the one girl that doesn't want me.
"Draco if you'll stop moping around now, I filled your gas tank and Hermione is at the local café," Blaise's voice echoes from outside the bathroom door.
"And why are you telling me this?"
I hear Blaise laugh outside of the bathroom and then I hear the door open, "listen bud, in all the years I've known you, you haven't had a girlfriend. But I saw the way you looked at Hermione, you look at her like she's the only thing that matters, like you would die for her." Blaise pauses and I don't answer so he continues, "I know you took her down to the den last night which, keep in mind, only Theo, you and I have been in. As soon as you came back from dropping you off I could tell you were off, you missed her being around you and honestly I miss you with her because you aren't such a dick when she's in your life."
Blaise stops talking and exists the bathroom. I get out of the shower and wrap the white fluffy towel around my waist. My eyes come in contact with the identical pair in the mirror. Dark bags are under my eyes and the person in the mirror seems dead compared to the one I saw in the mirror this morning.
"I love her Blaise," I whisper, only loud enough for myself to hear. I have since we were kids but she never let us do anything.
She's the only one I want and I'm the last person she wants.
Hermione Granger
I sip the warm coffee as I listen to Ginnys story from last night. She doesn't remember too much but the things she does remember and the videos on her phone make up an amusing story. Party's can be really fun once you get comfortable with the people you're around but that's never happened to me, only at the end of secondary school did I become comfortable with partying and then Draco started going to parties without me and everyone was talking about his hookups and how he'd strip girls on top of bars.
Over the summer we became two different people. He was well known for his parties and shenanigans. And I was...well I wasn't know.
I hated the change that happened over that summer. I lost my best friend, the person I loved the most in the world. Losing your best friend is worse then any break up could be. You don't necessarily expect relationships to last forever so some part of you accepts that fact but it's different with your life long best friend, they're supposed to be your constant. They're never supposed to leave you, especially if they're with you your whole life.
But that just wasn't the case.
"Hermione....Hermione! Are you still listening??"
"Huh?" I look up from the spot I had become fixated on. The swirls of the black hard wood table reminds me of the Aurora Borealis, I got to see them one time. I was with Draco, obviously. We were 14 and I was taken on one of his family trips to Fairbanks, Alaska.
"Never mind, how was your night? You disappeared with Draco only 30 minutes into the party."
I shrug and take another drink of my coffee, "it was fine. We got to catch up, I got shitfaced..." I trail off and mumble the last part of my sentence, not exactly wanting Ginny to know the end of the night because she will read too far into the whole situation.
"Hermione Granger, stop mumbling and tell me."
"Draco and I slept in the same-oh."
My eyes go wide as Draco walks through the café doors.
