Hermione Granger
"I'm sorry but it's a no Gin," I say again, hopefully for the last time. My redheaded best friend pouts and throws herself down on to her bed. The sparkling dress she has on rides up her thighs, barely covering her butt.
"You always say no Hermione, always, why won't you just let loose and have fun for once," Ginny Weasley whines, kicking her feet back and forth against the wooden platform of her bed. The smell of lavender and cherries engulfs her dorm room. A bunch of little skippy dresses are scattered across her floor along with different pairs of high heels.
I've never been one to party but Ginny, on the other hand, is one of the biggest party girls you will ever meet. People are always surprised to find out that we're best mates since we're both complete opposites of each other.
School is my number one priority and fun is hers.
"I can "let loose" and "have fun" when I've graduated and made a name for myself, right now I'm years away from that," I shrug off her comment of me being so uptight and pick up my book bag from off the floor.
"I'm going to meet Luna in the library, we have some world cultures work that needs to be finished. You really should be joining us," I sling my backpack onto my back and open her dorm door.
"I rather puke."
Draco Malfoy
"Blaise we're supposed to have four kegs, we only have two, where are the others?" I ask my best bud and knock the beer keg with my foot.
Blaise simply shrugs at me and walks into the other room, making sure that the house is picked up enough for the guests, not that it will actually matter because by tomorrow morning we will have at least thirty people passed out anywhere and everywhere. Coke bags, beer cans, half used joints, and vodka bottles will also be scattered all over the floor.
"Could you find them please??" I yell out of the room. Blaise doesn't respond but I know he heard me. He just doesn't want to do the extra work but it's not like he's done anything else to get the house in shape except clean his bedroom and the kitchen.
"Pansy," I shout down the stairs. The black haired girl comes running up the stairs, applying lip gloss. Her hair is cut in a bob and she has two neon pink feathers tied into her hair.
"What's up, hun?" She asks, leaning against the wall. Her black skater skirt stops mid-thigh and she has a light grey button up shirt of mine tucked into her skirt.
"Why are you wearing my shirt?" I cock my eyebrow at her and cross my arms over my chest. Pansy and I have always been pretty close but she likes to try and force things to go farther between us every now and then. It's mostly when her interest isn't caught in anyone else so I'm just like the side hoe, not that I'm mad about it. I like being single for the most part, I can sleep with whoever I want and drink and smoke as much as I want without worrying about a significant other.
"I needed a T-shirt unless you rather me not wear a shirt," Pansy winks at me and I roll my eyes.
"Go change into something else that doesn't make you look like a thirty year old receptionist," I scowl slightly and grab a red solo cup. I walk over to the liquor table and pour lemonade and vodka into it.
The party starts in a few minutes so people should be arriving right about now.
"Draco, bud! Where are you at now?!" Josh yells throughout the house.
"Up your ass Joshua!" I shout back and walk into the entryway. Josh grabs my cup from my hand and takes a long draw from it.
"You got some sissy shit in there right now Dray, what the fuck are you doing?"
"Can't take it all down at my own party," I chuckle and lean my back against my wall as more people walk in. I wave to them and keep up my conversation with Josh until the music drains out his voice and the smell of skunk and vodka mercilessly invade my senses.
I watch as the familiar redheaded girl walks into my house, two other fit birds on her arm that I'd happily play around with. I hold my hand up to Josh halfway through his sentence and walk over to the youngest one of the Weasley Clan.
"Ginny Weasley," I grin lightly and sip on my drink, "long time no see, huh?"
"Yeah it's been a bit," Ginny agrees and takes a look at my drink, "where can I get one of those?" Ginny looks around and finds the liquor table, walking towards it without a second thought.
"Hey woman wait, I'm not done talking to you," I reach out and catch her arm. Ginny's eyes lighten up a bit, as she looks between my hand on her arm and my face.
"Don't touch me," she says and yanks her arm from my grip, "talk to me while I get a drink you tit."
I watch her walk away from me again, her short sparkly dress shinning different colors from the lights we have set up. She looks like a walking disco ball.
I follow Ginny to the liquor table and watch her as she mixes herself up a drink. Vodka with Hawaiian Punch and Red Bull.
"Tastes like blue cotton candy," she yells over the music, holding the drink out towards me. I take the red solo cup and take a drink of it.
"Yeah it does," I agree and look around. Someone's making some lines next to the sink and someone else is doing a smoke pass with their girlfriend next to the fridge. The kitchen is kind of the druggie den during my parties, it's kind of ironic.
"So why'd you pull me over Malfoy, you haven't ever spoken a word to me at these parties," Ginny flips her red pin straight hair behind her shoulder and takes a drink of her concoction.
"Why doesn't Mione ever come to my parties, I always invite her," I ask, genuinely missing my childhood best friend. Our families have always been super close, well our mums have. Our fathers never really got along, my father was arrogant and stuck up and her father was very understanding and humble. They really couldn't stand each other but they made do because of our mothers. Hermione and I just fell into a friendship when we were toddlers and were inseparable until we started UNI. We both took completely separate paths.
"She hates parties, shouldn't you know that?"
"She loved doing shit back when we were in secondary school, she's completely different now," I grab myself a solo cup and fill it up with wine. I'm trying not to get wasted tonight because I have a makeup final tomorrow and I really need to do well on it.
"She went to clubs and parties with you to make sure you didn't do anything stupid, she really hated it but she loved you so she did it for you," Ginny explains before gulping down her drink and going to make another one.
"I would gladly stay home and read books with her if that's what she wanted," I say back, realizing how far she and I have drifted from each other's these last three years.
"I know you would, you love her, I can see it in your eyes"
"Of course I love her, what's not to love."
