Hermione Granger
Draco and I make eye contact across the small café and I watch as he walks up to the counter. He grabs his wallet from his back pocket and turns his attention to the cashier.
"What are you looking at?" Ginny turns to follow where I was looking and notices Draco ordering at the counter. It's hard not to notice him. He's taller then most, and his hair is probably his most stand out-ish feature. He's not someone that's you'd see on a regular basis just walking around the town.
Ginny grins widely and grabs her purse from beside the chair, "you two have fun, you probably have some things to talk about."
I shake my head rapidly and look between the two of them, "it's fine, stay, he can wait."
"It's fine, I have homework to do either way."
"Since when have you done homework."
"Since I wanted my best friend to get a boyfriend," Ginny blows a kiss at me and runs from the table.
"I'm not gonna date him!" I yell towards her, drawing attention to myself. Multiple people look up from their homework, computers, books, etc.
"Well, Granger, way to disturb the peace."
"I blame you," I whisper in my mug before taking another drink of what's left of the coffee. "How'd you know I was here?"
"Doesn't matter," Draco shrugs and leans forward on to the table. I lean back in my chair to keep the distance between us.
"Are you stalking me now?"
"No I'm not that desperate," Draco smirks and stares into my eyes, he knows I hate it.
"Stop."
"I'm not doing anything," Draco laughs and takes a drink of his coffee. "How's your hangover?"
"Fine," I shrug. I took some ibuprofen at our dorms and Ginny brought me out for coffee and we were going to go get lunch after but then Draco had to show up so she ditched me.
"Have you eaten anything yet?"
"No"
"Okay where do you want to go? I know this really good french toast at another café," I stare at Draco like he's crazy and shake my head.
"It's fine, I have stuff back at the dorms. I just needed some coffee, I didn't get much sleep," I choke on the last part, not fully remembering last night but completely remembering the events from this morning.
Draco smirks at me licks his lips, "you didn't get much sleep because you were trying to skinny dip in the pool, hun."
My eyes shoot wide open and I slam my hand down on the table, "I was what???"
Draco laughs and shakes his head, "don't worry, I controlled the situation before too much came off."
Four years ago
Draco Malfoy"No you can't do that, we're in public," I remind Hermione as she clumsily tries to unbutton her sweater. She thinks the fountain would be fun to skinny dip in, drunk her thinks everything is fun to skinny dip in. But to add to it now, she is crossfaded. I told her mixing vodka and weed would do bad things to her, she didn't listen.
"I can do whatever I'd want to," the smile playing on her lips causes me to smile. Even when she has mascara smeared under her eyes and her lipstick is smudged around her mouth she looks beautiful. She looks absolutely shattered and like she is in need of a 40 year nap but in reality she is bursting with energy. I'm not sure how she is so hyper right now since she has been dancing in clubs since 11.
"Hey, Mione," I grab her hands away from her sweater and places them at her sides. I begin to button her sweater backup, "let's get home and make cheesy nachos."
Hermione shakes her head in a way that a dissapointed mother would shake her head, "fries stupid, cheesy fries."
I nod and grab Hermiones hand and lead her to the car that is parked behind the bar we just came out of. It's been 6 hours of partying, I'm tired and slightly hungover and Hermione is fucked out of her mind. Her hands are cold, holding mine as we walk under the cloudy night sky. The moon is full tonight but you can't see many stars, leaving the sky as a black canvas.
"I love you, Dray, you know that right?"
"Of course I do."
"I will always love you, so much,"
Current Day
Hermione GrangerDraco tries to glance at me without me knowing but I catch his eye and smile at him. He smiles an over exaggerated smile back at me with all his teeth showing and his eyes closed, is chin is turned up towards the ceiling to top it all off.
"Very nice," I say and push another bite of the French toast into my mouth.
"It's good, isn't it?"
I nod and continue to eat the French toast Draco bought for me. I didn't want him to buy my food but he took my card and put it in his waist band and I didn't feel comfortable getting it back myself.
"So how do you feel about partying with us more often now?" Draco asks me. I bite my bottom lip and grab my drink, placing the cup to my lips while thinking.
I don't really like how I act when I'm drunk or high and especially crossed and the only person I'm really comfortable with is Draco but I don't 100% trust myself with him now.
My hormones run high around Draco and when I'm drunk or high or whatever they're out of control. I hate not being able to control that aspect of me.
"You know I would never let anything happen to you, right?" Draco reaches across the table and grabs my hand. His silver eyes stare right into mine.
"I just don't trust myself."
