"Hey...Jungkook. Where were you yesterday?" Eun-Ji asked her friend.

She tried to call him several times. He didn't receive her calls and she was really worried.

She had never admitted it but he was one of the most important people in her life and the love for him was natural and unconditional.

They knew everything about each other, as they were neighbours, they spent couple of afternoons together after school.

He didn't answer her question. He exhaled and turned back to face her.

"Mom's sick and she needs a proper treatment. In Seoul. Next school year, I will be studying somewhere else." He said, his face didn't show any emotion.

But oh god... he felt so much pain saying this. She was as important to him, as him to her.

Eun-Ji didn't expect this coming.

She knew about his mom's condition. She often helped her and surprised the family by giving cookies she made.

Her face went blank and tried to hold back the tears.

However, Jungkook knew her way too much. He gently caressed her cheek and muttered a silent apology.

They hugged each other tightly, none of them wanted to let the other go.

My phone vibrated and I saw a message pop up.

Eun-Ji

I immediately stood up and swiped open the message.

I accept your promising offer Jeon. Don't make me regret it.

I chuckled seeing her message, her voice echoed in my head.

I would lie if I said I hadn't miss her.

We changed; a part of me was happy she didn't follow me, she would hate my guts. I was a criminal, she was an angel.

Someone knocked on my door and asked them to come in.

I told him that she accepted my offer.

"Oh, so she agreed to work for you... for us?" Hoseok seemed surprised.

"I didn't expect it. But would you tell me something if I asked?" he asked.

"Of course."

"Why are you acting like this towards her?"

I didn't understand my brother's question. Of course I cared about her, she had been my friend since I remembered, even if we had been apart for years.

"I don't understand what you imply." say, confused.

"You are not that unselfish, brother. You are acting like a fairy godmother. You don't offer that much when you want to pay back a favour. So, spill the beans. Why are you so kind?" he said, rolling eyes.

"It's Eun-Ji. The girl whom I always valued, the girl who made me smile. My friend. Friends help each other." I replied.

"It's your thing. I have never seen you so eager to please a girl without getting into her pants." Hoseok laughed.

"Idiot." I scolded.
