When walked back to the black car, I opened the door of the passenger seat for her.

"Wow, a real gentleman." She cooed and elbowed me.

"I have always been a gentleman." She wanted to say back with something witty, but she chose to remain silent. I was more than sure she thought about my affairs.

As we reached our destination, I got out of the vehicle faster than her, only to act like a gentleman; once again.

"Do you want to come in?" She asked surprisingly. "It's small but cosy, it's nothing compared to your home but we can drink something together."

"Sure."

"Jay, I will call you later to pick me up." I said, motioning the driver to leave without me.

"Okay sir." he said, and left.

We got in the elevator and she pushed the number 4 button, as she was living on the 4th floor.

She pulled out her keys from her backpack but before she put it in the key hole, she looked back at me in fear and confusion.

"I-it's open... but I remember I locked it..."

I turned the knob and she was right. Somebody had been inside before we arrived.

"How about your roomie?"

"She is visting her family in Gwangju." She whispered, not bothering to hide the panic.

I reached for my gun and pushed the door open.

"Stay few steps behind me. If something happens, you will have run as fast as you can." I said silently, just in case if I saw somebody moving.

I checked every place.

Bathroom clear.

Eun-Ji's room clear.

Roomie's room clear.

Balcony clear.

Anyone who had been here, left by the time we arrived.

"No one's here." I said and she came to me. "But you should check if something is missing."
