A few days later my roommate came back from vacation. Kirti Kishore, of medium height with mesomorphic build and dark brown skin. He noticed that I was walking with better posture than before, and appreciated it. And as for me, I could feel that I could focus better and needed less sleep. Raghav would often meet me alone at night, and explained that my contract with the master was in full effects, and the improvements in my natural talent and ability to improve fast would start showing gradually, over the course of the whole year would the 5 levels of improvement fully show.
2 days after my roommate came back, I noticed that my debit card had gone missing, not the wallet, just the card. I told it to him, it was strange. I looked everywhere, and after 2 days of searching, I had a strange instinct that told me that Raghav may have had the card. And that night, I went to his room, or what I thought was his room, when he was with his friends, Raghav denied having it, and his friends chuckled at the way I keep losing things as I left the room. The next day I got dad to block my card, and I was to get another one in a few days.
Days later, when no one else was around at the hour of night. He came into my room, and said, "I can get your card".
"What, do you know where it is", I called back.
"No, I do not know where your card is, but I have a talent for finding things". "It is one of the 'talents' that the master has given me".
"Wait so the master can find where my card is", I asked.
"Yes, say it is in the garbage, the master knows and he will teleport it to my hand", he explained.
"Wait, do I really need to have my card right now, my dad's new card is coming in the mail in just 4 days", I pointed. He acted like I was stupid to even say this.
"Why wait 4 days for more money, when you can get it right now", he stated, like I was an idiot for considering patience, "this is the power you have now that you are a disciple of the master."
"What if the card is stolen, and with someone, wont they notice something was off", I questioned. "If someone stole it it's their problem", he said in a dismissive voice.
He led me to a large hostel room at the end of the lane, one which I later found out was his room, and we both sat down, kneeling in prayer with our eyes closed. And when he had me open them; my card was right in his hand. I was stunned. Till now I had doubts if this was legit, but now I would say that the chances of it being real was far too high, it was too dangerous to even think of telling anyone.
"The fee for this is 3000 rupees", he stated. "What if I don't have 3000 rupees right now?", I asked. "Use the card", he said. I showed him how I couldn't use it.
"This card got blocked a few days ago, I forgot to tell you". Raghav led me upstairs. He knelt down in prayer. A crouched position of deep thought.
"Master, master, Saswat's card is blocked", he murmured in a worried voice. He waited in crouch for a moment, eyes closed and praying hands, and then rose.
"Since you couldn't give the money on time which is right now, the masters interest rate applies", he said. "And what is that interest rate", I replied.
"50% per day", he answered, "simple interest", he stated. "But master is being generous on you and you will only have to pay 2 days interest for 4 days", he said "it will only be 6000 rupees".
We kept talking, about the magic. "Who was your agent", I asked Raghav.
"It was this boy I met by online gaming", he answered. "Which game", I asked. "We were playing Sim city", he replied. "And when we both got to level-20 he started telling me about the magic", he explained.
