After the confrontation when Raghav tried to accuse me of sending goons to beat him up, I was asked by many law students, of both classes, what the heck was going on at the scene. My answer to all of them was simple.
"Raghav owed me money which he wasn't giving back", I would say, and if they asked about the obese guy I called talking to the warden I'd tell them that some of the owed money was payed to Raghav by that guy as well. This was enough to satisfy the guys that were watching the scene, many of whom were in Raghav's class.
Aditya Shukla had warned me against telling outsiders about the whole thing right from the beginning, but I had no choice. If I didn't tell these guys what actually happened, they would only hear Raghav's version, and I would get a dangerously large group of people that thought I was some psychopath that framed Raghav with grave charges just for fun or money or some shit. Yep, that was Raghav's version, which honestly wasn't even credible, or smart either. He didn't know that a lot of people wouldn't readily believe him if he told them that I had framed him by making him sell my laptop in town. He wasn't really smart enough to realize that a real fake story is also supposed to have fake evidence.
The one piece of fake evidence he did have, that I had to ask Raghav myself as I hadn't heard it, was about the money I gave him for the card through Aditya Shubham, (which itself was a dumb idea, you do not allow the victim to borrow money in a one on one fraud).
Raghav's version was that I had lost my card and borrowed 3000 rupees of pocket money from him, which he had to borrow from his friend Nirbhay, to give to me. And that I gave him back the money through my friend Aditya Shubham. I didn't really know who Nirbhay was, but found out that is was this very tall dark skinned guy that I remembered standing with Raghav at the false goons incident.
The only thing he proved with that excuse was that he hadn't just cheated me, he had also lied to his friend Nirbhay and taken his money to help support his excuses. If that was really what he had told to the warden, then it would be even worse for him because when I had gotten Aditya Shubham to pay Raghav 3000 rupees through Paytm, I had told Aditya that Raghav was associated with a dangerous gangster that would kill me if I didn't pay him somehow, Raghav had never told me I was supposed to be pretending to be giving back his borrowed money that I had actually never borrowed, too bad for him. If that was not bad enough for Raghav's story, Aditya Shubham was a third year senior and the warden Mr. Handa already knew him pretty well, he would take his word over Raghav's, or mine.
This went on for a few days, I really liked telling people Raghav was a liar that took my money, and one day, I met this girl named Shourya Saxena. I spoke to her about several things, she told me she was a friend of Raghav and I could not hide my disappointment. I didn't tell her anything about the whole thing, just told her that Raghav had done something bad. Didn't really tell her what.
That evening, Raghav called me to the canteen. I saw him right in the middle of the food court. He was standing in the middle of a group of 4 other big guys, all of them taller then Raghav, and all but one were bigger. Raghav himself was 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, but he looked like a little brother with these big guys. All the guys were looking at me with sinister smiles, ready to laugh and cuss at my face. I turned on my voice recorder the moment I saw them in the distance, I had made a habit of recording every single bit of talking I had with Raghav.
"Why are you accusing our friend!", a guy shouted at my face as the others sneered. "Are you a bitch or what!", yelled another guy. "Yeah you stop making up crap about him", said the third.
"Sorry dudes, its not a lie, he took my money!", I exclaimed. This went on a whole 90 seconds, them trying to verbally force me into saying I was some criminal liar, and I did not give in. We all knew there were no less then 9 security camera's in the canteen, no one dared get into fights there, and I went on saying exactly what I thought, as they kept growing their threats.
"I will put my foot up your ass!", said Raghav, as the others grinned. So what, that was exactly what I wanted to tell Raghav, my foot would fit pretty easily in his big ass. I left the argument to eat dinner right there, cussing at them loudly even as I was no longer in front of them.
