An Elemental Surprise

A Couple Hours Later...

The ship landed, on a pretty big island, full of nature. Trees were so tall that they could barely see the mountains beyond, the future Magic Alphas hopped down on the land, Jake grimacing as mud stuck with his previously white paws. "Eugh.. looks like it rained or something last night.."

"We should just deal with it." Hunter shrugged, "Is this really where the kingdom is?"

"The map says so." Swift frowned a little, looking at the island, "It doesn't look like it though.. or at least it's farther within the island." She said, "Let's go." They walked through the forest, mud coating their paws and dirt stuck to them, so far nobody has seen any signs of the kingdom, making them get a little suspicious. No castles could be seen, no buildings, just nature everywhere.

Jake's eyes widened when he felt something soft on his paws, he looked down to see a half-eaten apple sticking to his paw, "Has anyone eaten apples?" He asked, shaking his paw of the apple remains. Everyone else shook their heads.

"Now's not really the time to think about food." Hunter rolled his eyes. Jake scowled.

"I'm not hungry! There's half-eaten apples everywhere!" He snapped, gesturing to the apples surrounding the ground, Swift sniffed one then frowned.

"This one's still fresh. I have a bad feeling about this." She said, throwing the apple away, she looked at the map once again. "We have to be careful, there could be other animals here that might put us in danger." They continued walking forward, looking around for any threats, the more they walked the more remains of food they could see scattered on the ground, they were more sure someone else was on this island. Hunter's ear twitched at a distant sound, he looked back. Nothing.

He narrowed his eyes then continued walking, suddenly he heard something whizzing towards them, he turned around and created a Dark Magic shield just in time when a sharp metal spike pierced it. The others looked back at Hunter, Hunter huffed and saw more spikes coming. "Take cover!" He yelled.

He created a larger shield as more spikes came along, he grunted every time a spike hit the shield, Laika slammed he r
was on the ground and tall rocks appeared in front of them, blocking the spikes. Hunter retracted the shield and sighed. The rocks broke suddenly and they were hit by a strong gust of wind, they clung in the ground, trying to stay put. Izzy summoned vines and wrapped her and Hunter's bodies to the ground, they saw more spikes coming their way, Hunter created another shield for their protection, grunting in frustration as the wind blew even stronger. They saw two figures in the distance opposite of them, they saw them narrowing their eyes.

One of them had.. Wings!? Swift thought. It flapped quickly and seemed to be causing the strong wind, the other had floating metal weapons around them, being the cause of the spikes from earlier. Having enough, Jake shot a Lightning ball on the ground beneath the two and they stumbled back, the Lightning ball's impact causing sparks of electricity flying to them. The wind finally stopped, causing all of them to collapse. Hunter growled at them.

"Hey! What's the big idea?!" He yelled at them.

The two figures rose, ready to attack, Swift intervened. "Stop! We're not here to hurt you!" She cried.

"How will we believe you?" The taller figure asked, glaring, "Me and my sister have been watching you all, what is your business here?"

"We're on an important mission, to find Kingdom Anaria." Jake stated. The two figures walked closer, finally showing their appearances. The tall figure was a dark gray coyote with black tips, a tuft of fur on his forehead curling inwards, and icy blue eyes. The other one was a light gray coyote with black tips, a thick tuft of fur curling with a black tip, light gray eyes, and.. two white wings.

"Kingdom Anaria?" The dark gray coyote asked, the metal weapons vanishing in thin air. "Why?" He asked, suspiciously.

"We're the Magic Alphas, we need to speak to the King and Queen about a threat to Jamaa." Kyle spoke, "And I gotta say, it's kinda offensive how you think we're a threat when we defeated the Corruptors weeks ago." He added.

"You're the Magic Alphas?" The younger coyote asked, flying to look Kyle in the eye. She suddenly gasped in a dramatic way, "Oh my gosh! It is them! Swift, Jake, Izzy, Kyle, Hunter and Lyla!"

"It's Laika." Laika muttered. The coyote smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry." She squeaked. "If you're here to find Kingdom Anaria, we know here it is!" She added. Looking at the other coyote, she said. "Brother, can we show them?"

"How do we know if they're not Phantoms in disguise?" He asked suspiciously. Jake raised an eye ridge.

"Phantoms can do that?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, one of the weird ways of the Phantoms. Shapeshifting was an ability nobody's ever known until recently, they still don't know how they can do it." The dark gray coyote replied.

"We're not Phantoms, okay?" Hunter huffed, looking at the dark gray coyote. "If we were, we would've killed you already."

"Seems legit." The young coyote squeaked, "Come on brother, let's show them the way! Or maybe show them to our hideout to help them a little."

"Oh, no, no, no, no." The dark gray coyote said quickly, shaking his head, "I'm still not convinced, and we're definitely not showing our hideout!" He snapped, the younger coyote frowned.

"They're the real deal! Remember what Sean told us about the Magic Alphas? One's light gray, one's dark brown, one's light brown, one's dark gray, one's orange and the other's peach colored!" The young coyote said in exasperation, throwing her paws in the air as her wings flapped gently, "These guys are the exact same color! Plus we saw them with their powers! It is them!"

Sighing deeply, rubbing a paw on his face, her brother replied, "Fine. But you're leading the way." He grumbled, looking at them, he added, "I'm Silver, Metal manipulator."

"Metal?" Swift asked in disbelief, "Metal isn't really an element, is it?" She asked.

"Oh it isn't, but it's something you can learn to control." Silver replied, making several sharp knives made of steel appear as he stomped a paw. They disappeared into thin air again.

"And you." Swift looked at his sister, "What are you?"

"Air Elemental!" She squealed.

"Air?!" The Alphas asked in surprise.

"T-That wasn't an element discovered yet!" Kyle exclaimed, "This is amazing!" He said excitedly.

"I guess so." The coyote squeaked shyly.

"This is Feather, I named her that because well.. she's light as one. Giving her her ability to grow these wings and fly." Silver chuckled at the irony. Feather nodded.

"But how? When?" Izzy asked, intrigued at Feather's wings and Element.

"I'll explain on the way, come on! Let's go to Sean!" Feather replied, flying quickly to the east, everyone else followed closely.

Something in the bushes growled quietly, it's green eye glowing in the darkness of the cave it was in, it closed the open gap with a rock and disappeared from sight.
