  3rd Person P.O.V.

Austin had been walking back and forth trying to figure out a way to get out. Jenna was being her quiet self as she watched her older brother. The only defense they had was the sword Jenna had brought with her.

When Austin had finally sat on his plain wooden stool looking down with a expression of worry, Jenna began to wonder about his health. She began questioning her judgment she made about her brother. He appeared to be skinnier than her as his cheek bones appeared more prominent than hers. His fingers were like long twigs, legs masking the same appearance.  Possibly someone like him couldn't save a kingdom in his state. Too small to make a mark on anyone. He was tall, she knew that but was he strong enough to hold this whole kingdom up on its feet himself and destroy thier father? She began thinking not.

"Austin?" She asked in a sweet caring voice. He looked up at her forgetting what he was thinking. "Are you sure you can do this? Save Of Mice and Men from father?"

Austin stood up with a positive look on his face. "Yes, all I need to do is get out then find father. From there some, way somehow, I’ll get him to stop this madness-"

"Aust, I mean can you do this in your state?" She pointed up and down to his body then looking up to his eyes. His face scanned his body. He knew he was skinny before but when Jenna, his own sister pointed it out, he felt ashamed.

His glance fell to hers with gloss eyes. "I hope to believe so Jenna. If I don't who will?"

"I know Aust but look at you. You're almost a stick, as strong as a child learning to walk. How can I, on top of that our kingdom rely on that?"

He was taken back. Her pure words hurt more than knowing Alan was taken hostage. "Well what else do we have? I may not be Hercules but for my kingdom, my freedom, and Alan, I'll try my best because I know I can."

Jenna sighed as her brother began walking to his drawer. "Cover you eyes." He demanded.

"Why?"

"Because I said so." Jenna didn't dare disobey him. He may not appear strong but he was one to be frightened of. So she covered her eyes as she couldn't bend her neck down due to the fall she had.

When Austin gave Jenna the okay to look back up he was in a long pink gown with the sword in his hands. "Austin, what are you doing?"

"It hurts to know your faith no longer lays within me but I know that Alan and the kingdoms faith still resides and so here is where I make a fool out of you and prove, even in my condition, I can conquer our Father."

Before anything else was said he began running towards the door, ramming himself into it trying to break the seals. Jenna yelled at him to stop but he didn't. He was to focus on escaping that he couldn't feel the pain in his shoulder or the blood spewing out onto the door. Will multiple bangs he fell down a set of stairs toppling over bodies as his own slipped and rolled down a small hallow hallway stopping as his body hit a stone wall.

He gazed up to ser this father and mother. Austin slowly began regining balance as he stood up along with his father. He glanced at his father to see he was more round with much facial hair since he last saw him. His mother was just the same but with more wrinkles on her face.

"Austin!" Jenna yelled to get his attention. King Carlile and Austin both looked up at Jenna. She threw a golden sword down at Austin.

With this happening so quickly, he couldn't comprehend what to do untill his mother yelled, "Run, son!" His father began runing down the stairs toward Austin. Austin's body began running before he even knew where to go. He ran down hallways he use to roam through when he was younger, ball rooms  that use to be full of  exciment. His father yelled his name bouncing off every wall and corner.

As time of running came way, Austin aproched two wooden doors he thought he would never see again. There were no gaurds near and so he took this chance to get out. He swong the door open to reveal almost everyone in the kingdom out side in front if him. Gasps were head everywhere as Austin continue running. He ran past old comrades as they stared at him shocked to see the Prince one again.

He continued running past the crowd even when he head his father begind him yelling at his guards to capture Austin. "Get him back to me! Do so and your family will be honored by living in the castle! Stop that monster!"

Austin had come so close to the last gates that separates the kingdom from the outside world untill some one approached him pulling out a long silver sword.

Austin's P.O.V.

'Bloody hell' I thought as I stop in my tracks making myself almost fall on the ground. One of my fathers guardsmen pulled out his weapon against me. I was heavily breathing as I tried to think of what to do. It had been a long time since  I've had a dual. More so with a weapon.

"Fight Austin!"  I turned to see a child crying along with almost everyone else staring at me. I turned back to the man who challenged me by taking my sword out too.

After about what seemed forever but was truly 3 seconds, he lunges at me swinging. With quick action, sparks flew as the swards collide. Ducking, swooping, swerving and twisting, we battled for my freedom.

There were many close calls to my body being cut but I was too quick to him. My dress tore at most half of his attempts to hurt me. The battle was taking more time then I would please so I decided to cause a distraction.

"Look!" I yelled pointing in front of me causing the man to turn his attention to the main gates. I took my chances to swing The handle of my sword to his head . It was a dirty trick, yes but I had no other choice.

The man fell to the ground as many cheered for me. I was the hero for once but that was quickly taken way when a woman came crying toward the lifeless man laying in front of me.

"Why?!" She cried falling to the ground. "Dear Lord why?"

Looking down at her was the most painful think then to think I did this. I killed a man I was suppose to save. I killed him at my will. I looked down at my hands feeling disgusted with myself. I dropped my weapon stepping back from the damage I caused.

"I'm sorry....I'm so sorry" tears ran down my cheeks as I continued running out the main gates.

As I began to cross the bridge there was a gust of voice calling after me. I was to heart broken to look back. I'm dead to them. I failed.

Everyone yelled but the one that stood out the most was the child from earlier.

"Save us Austin! Save us! Don't let die!"
