Shiny
Silver
Sharp
I stared at it
The blade
It would take away the pain
But only for a moment
Until I had to do it again
I promised no more
But my heart just tore
And I cut my skin once more
Then again
and again
Screamed for help
But no one heard
I am alone
I don't crave attention
I don't even want it
Put on a smile
Fake a laugh
Stay happy
No one knows
Make them believe
Everything is alright
Let everything out
When I am alone
I can't do this
I can't die
I'd hurt my family
Breath in
Breath out
Cry once more
Hit a pillow
Put down my blade
And run
Run until I am too tired
Smile
It's over
No more tears
Smile
It's over
