"Hey, kid! Get back here!"
My laughs bounced off of the ally walls as I ran away from the annoyed shopkeeper, stuffing the shiny golden mirror I had just stolen into my pocket as my black boots took me as far as they could, as fast as they could.
"I'm rotten to the core!"
I yelled, finally collapsing into the arms of a white-haired boy as I reached main street.
"Hi, baby."
I grinned breathlessly, tousling the hair of my boyfriend before I took my place in the line my friends were making. The two boys stood flanking the ends. Jay, the tan-skinned, long-haired, gorgeous son of Jafar. And Carlos, the cute, adorable, freckley white-haired son of Cruella De Vil. Also known as my boyfriend. Stood next to him was well, me. I'm not very remarkable in the looks department. I was short but slim, my dark curly hair chopped into a chin-length bob with kitchen shears, and my gray eyes didn't really stand out against my pale complexion. Sure, I had full lips and high cheekbones, quick hands, and a small waist but those were my only eye-catching qualities. I was in no way as gorgeous as Evie, my close friend who stood next to Jay. Now, Evie, she was striking. With her long blue hair, her big doe eyes, her loving smile, and her incredible fashion. Now she was the girl that everyone wanted. But she was in no way as beautiful as Mal. As the undecided leader of our group and my best friend, Mal was definitely the most intriguing of us all. She had killer green eyes, bright purple hair, and an attitude that could kill. She was the one we all wanted to be, but never really admitted it... at least not out loud. We all stood around laughing and joking and razzing each other when Mal shot me a devious smile. In one swift move, she was suddenly holding the lollipop of a baby.
"Nice one Mal!"
We hooted and hollered when suddenly, a shadow was cast over all of us.
"Oh Mal, stealing candy? Who's child are you supposed to be?"
Stood before us, was the horned face of Maleficent. Mal's mom. Hearing the added insult, Mal's face began to drop.
"It was from a baby!"
I was quick to the defense, making Maleficent smile.
"Ah. Now that is more like it."
Relief started to dawn on Mal's face as she smiled at me.
"Now give it back!"
Maleficent snapped, causing the both of us to frown.
"But mom!"
With a stern look from her mother, Mal pouted but began to walk over to the stroller anyways, before I grabbed her hand.
"Hey! Hang on!"
I grinned devilishly, snatching the lollipop from Mal's hand and spitting on it on both sides, before rubbing it in on the dirtiest spot of my destroyed black T-shirt. With a look of approval from Maleficent, I started over to where the baby was sitting with his mother, crouched down on my knees, and smiled.
"Here you go, little guy."
I grinned, handing the toddler back his now soiled lollipop before ruffling his hair and strutting back over to my group.
"Ah!"
Maleficent threw her hands up in joy.
"Now that is evil my dear."
She wrapped her arms around both of our shoulders, before ushering us forward. Mal glared at me behind her mother's back, and I was too busy shrinking under her gaze to hear what Maleficent was actually saying.
