Chapter 3: Wait a mintue- who?

-Tuesday-
-In the Car-

Audrey:

I had picked up Evan and Riley already and I was ready to head off from Evan's driveway when I got a text from Zack.

Zack: Hey! I kinda need your help. I'm in a bit of a pickle.

Audrey: Who still says "in a bit of a pickle" and what's up?

Zack: Me obviously, and I need you to pick me up because my mom had an emergency at work.

Audrey: Oml, okay send me ur address and I guess I'll be there in a few.

-45 minutes later-
-At school-

"C'mon hurry you guys, we can't be late!" I said running down the hallway with the rest of them. "Ughhh! I wish we sorta didn't pick you up Zack, cuz now here we are about to be late!" Riley said. And I couldn't have disagreed with her. It was only the 2nd day and I was already probably about to be late for Mrs. Green's class, I don't think this day could get any worse.

"How much time do we have!?" Zack asked running but slowing down. "We only have 15 seconds! And all of our classes are on the 3rd floor and we're only 45 seconds away from that!" Evan said.

"We have to hurry you guys!" I said, speeding up in pace. I wasn't about to be late. I hadn't been late since 8th grade on the first day when I got lost on my way to 3rd period.

"You guys I know a short cut!" Zack said. "Nuh- uh, I'm not going." Evan said. Riley nodded, so they went the regular way and I ran with Zack. And I'm less than 10 seconds we had made it, sparring 3 seconds. We ran into Mrs, Green's class and sat down in our seats right on time for the bell to ring. I was out of breath, but at least I wasn't late.

-Lunch-

Audrey:

"Hey you guys! Who's this cutie?" Addison Thompson said waking up to us as we were sitting down. She hadn't ever come outside not even for Physical Ed but I guess when she saw Zack she was changed her mind. "Oh- uh hi, I'm Zack." he said smiling innocently. "Addison Thompson, but call me Addie for short." Addison said.

I hated Addison ever since 9th grade when she spread a rumor that I was lesbian to the entire school. I hadn't ever had a boyfriend so she assumed I was gay and then the entire school found out and it almost ruined my life until people realized that I wasn't.

"What do you want Addison?" Evan said. His sister "Heather" was Addison's best friend, so I guess you could figure out how that went. They were twins but they hated each other. "Oh shut up loser!" Heather said. I stood up but before I could splash my chocolate milk on Heather, Evan grabbed my arm, "It's alright Audrey, she isn't worth it anyways." He said then let go of my arm. After Addison and heather laughed they went be inside but before Addison went back all the way in she turned around and looked at Zack. "Hey hot stuff, when your done hanging with these losers come hang with me and the rest of the football team." she said smiling and then walking inside.

"Fuck her! She's literally trash, I don't see why anyone likes her!" I said in rage. When I wasn't mad about one thing, I was mad about something else. The universe didn't want me happy this week obviously.

"Don't worry you guys, I won't leave you guys, y'all are better than her anyways." Zack said, that sorta cheered me up. I smiled and finished eating my food. I was sorta starting to warm up to Zack even though I just met him.

But oh was I fucking wrong. 2 months later all of that changed.

Basically Addison somehow got Zack on the Football team, so that made him cool with the Football and Basketball team, and then the cheerleaders too. He still hung out with us, or at least tried to. But that was only the first 3 weeks. When the 4th week came along I told him: You might as well just hang with your cool friends at lunch." And then Zack said: But are you guys okay with that?" And of course I said: Yea, it's alright, you don't have time for us anymore anyways." After that the conversation was nothing. He left and we didn't see each other much. Evan, Riley, and I still hung out though because we were best friends and we weren't going to let 1 dude mess us up.

But gosh I didn't believe what happened next.
