They creeped out lizard-like through the school gardens, LSS leading the way like she'd been going there her whole life, even though she'd barely been there one hour. Lizard-spitting Sophie was nothing if not overconfident.

'Is this Chad character likely to be here, do you think?' she asked her blonde companion. Cheer-girl suddenly became very interested in a blade of grass. It swayed uncertainly, unsure of its path in life. 'I dunno. Maybe.'

LSS whipped around to face her and they almost bumped into each other. She grabbed hold of her shoulders. 'Listen Cheer-girl, we are in a bad boy crisis right now, you understand?! I need you to focus. Where. Might. Chad. Be?'

Cheer-girl hesitated. 'Most likely off of school grounds. He bunks off of school a lot. Could you take your hands off my shoulders now?'

LSS realized how close they were standing to each other and quickly moved away. 'Um. Yeah. Right. Sorry.' Then 'You had some dust on your shoulders. I was brushing it off.'

'Okay? Well, we should probably check the library, they might've seen him leave. If he even showed up, that is.'

They entered a large spherical room that was piled with books, right up to the ceiling. LSS stared with awe. This was a world away from what she'd experienced from growing under Normal Sophie's bed for two years.

They walked up to the front desk. Behind was a middle-aged man who looked disengaged with life. 'What is it now you little pricks?' He asked somewhat aggressively.

LSS felt that she was not to be trifled with. If there was anything that put her off about him it was his fashion-sense. She banged her fist on the desk to show she meant business. The librarian took a sip of his tea.

'We are looking for Chad. Chad of the Bad Boys. You seen him? You know where he is? YOU'RE HIDING HIM AREN'T YOU. YOU'RE HIDING HIM BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT ME TO KNOW. WELL I KNOW, I KNOW ALL YOUR SECRETS, HE'S MINE, HE'S-

'Sorry, we're looking for Chad?' Cheer-girl interrupted, giving him a forced smile.

'Oh god, not this crap again,' He mumbled, burying his face in his hands. 'Ya know Sailor Tift? The little bitch in the black jumper? He'll know. God help me, the kid knows everything. He'll be in class at the moment. Speaking of which, aren't you two supposed to be in class now?'

'Uuuuuum, no?'

'Whatever, make sure you close the library door when you get the fuck out.'
