They wandered around the city. There were lots of buildings, as one would expect from a city. Still.
'I found the skate park!' shouted Sailor, racing ahead. LSS sighed; it was a huge skate park, and would potentially take forever to find Chad.
'Come on' Said Cheer-girl, holding out her hand. LSS stared at it for a moment before taking it. Together they rushed up and down the slopes, searching in every nook and cranny, leaving no stone unturned. It was exhausting, both emotionally and physically, but LSS found that spending the time with Cheer-girl made it slightly better. In fact, Cheer-girl's presence was some-how hypnotizing.
'I'm here!' Said a voice from the darkness, and Cheer-girl's grasp on her hand tightened.
Sailor's face emerged, smiling, and LSS felt uneasy but she wasn't sure why.
Cheer-girl laughed nervously. 'We thought you were Chad-
'I am Chad' He said smoothly.
For a moment a look of sheer panic struck across Cheer-girl's face. She looked at LSS, who remained silent, then burst into hysterics. 'You can't be serious!'
'Oh I am' He said, his smile growing. 'I thought you would've guessed sooner.' He gestured to his black clothing.
Everything was coming back to them now: The bunking off school, the vast amount of knowledge despite not staying in school long enough to learn anything, the unexplained interest in a girl he didn't know-
All classic trademarks of a cliched Bad Boy.
'But- but your name isn't Chad!' Cheer-girl croaked. 'You're Sailor, everyone at school called you that!'
He stared into the distance. 'Don't you know? I like to change my name from time to time, because being forced to go by the name your parents gave you is oppressing and a societal construct devised by the ideology that your parents own you. I'm deep like that.'
LSS felt like she was going to throw up.
'But what now?!' Cheer-girl asked, looking faint.
'Well, Cheer-girl, now that you are the one with a name that begins with the same letter as mine and not your girlfriend here', He said pointedly. 'Why don't you decide?'
But before Cheer-girl could decide anything, A massive chameleon shot out of LSS's mouth, hitting Chad square in the kisser.
'WHAT NOW?' She asked as he regained his feet, dazed. 'NOW.... WE FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!'
It was going to be a long evening.
