'Why are we getting a taxi?' Cheer-girl asked as she scrunched up uncomfortably in the seat between LSS and Sailor (she'd insisted).
'It's faster, I can afford it and this gives me the chance to get to know you guys a bit better.' He glanced at LSS who blinked at him, confused. Cheer-girl glared impressively. 'I thought you knew everything' She muttered but not loud enough for Sailor to hear.
'So Sophie, since our names begin with the same letter, what's your back-story?'
'They do?'
'Yeah, Sophie, right?'
'Oh yeah.'
LSS knew that she couldn't let him know the truth. She turned to Cheer-girl who looked readily prepared to slap a bitch. 'Well, it all started with my mother running away when I was just a foetus.'
Cheer-girl choked.
'Then, while we were still in the womb my twin sister died of food poisoning,' LSS continued. 'Since then I have dedicated my life to finding Chad, who is my real mother.' She felt like she'd missed a crucial piece of information in her porky-pie but she couldn't quite figure out what it was.
'That is a very noble cause,' Said Sailor, wiping a stray tear from his eye. 'Do not worry, I know that we will find Chad soon.' He reached over in a vague attempt to hug her when suddenly-
'WE'RE HERE' Yelled Cheer-girl. They jumped out of their seats, startled.
'I thought London was miles away.'
'I know, right, must be the lizard power or something' Cheer-girl shrugged, looking slightly wild-eyed.
LSS was about to ask her why her voice sounded so high-pitched but her own voice caught in her throat.
They were in London now.
