Ronnie didn't mean to get so wasted. She didn't plan on drinking at all, but as she came back to the studio she met him. Matt – her half brother was waiting for her. He didn't change much since they had seen each other for the last time. He was the same tall man – maybe he lost on weight a little bit and his eyes seemed more beery than before. Matt claimed that he just wanted to visit his little sister, but she knew better. He always came when he didn't have money for drugs. Though at that point she didn't care. She already had enough her own problems to worry about the 35 years old man, so she let go and went with him to the bar.
At first she felt as if nothing had changed – he acted like a caring older brother that he used to be when they were kids, but as they drunk more his fake politeness disappeared and he began to act just like their mother.
"Did you put on weight?" he mumbled emptying another glass
"Pardon me?"
"You look as if you did, so..." he shrugged "You used to care more. Aren't you afraid that... what was her name once again?"
"Ellie"
"Oh, right. So, aren't you afraid that she will leave you?"
"I... No..." she shook her head
"You know, mom is upset, since you stopped talking to her and so on"
"Matt, stop it"
"What? I'm just trying to say that family is the most important thing in life. You know? And you own them so much"
"I own her nothing"
"You do. She brought you up and gave you everything"
"No. The person who brought me up was our last grandma. Caroline was the one to push me to the edge. I almost killed myself because of her" she waved at the waiter to pour her another drink
"Don't be so hard on her. She's your mother after all. The only person that will never leave you. You'll come back to her when that Ellen? Eliza? Elsa... whatever will leave you. Cause the truth is that you own nothing. You have nothing. Nowhere to go. The apartment is hers. The car you drive is hers. And I bet she's the one to pay for everything..."
Ronnie looked at him, but said nothing. She drunk the shot that the waiter had given her and stood up.
"I'm working too, you know. Besides I would never pay for that vodka and other things you had today with her money" she reached to her bag "Here" she placed folding money on the counter in front of him "I don't want to see you again if you're going to keep on getting on my nerves. Take the money and fuck off. Both of you" she put on her jacket and left

Meanwhile, Ellie came back home. She left the clinic earlier hoping that maybe they would be able to talk and make up. Though as she entered and saw that there were no lights on she knew Ronnie hadn't come back. The woman didn't bother herself to take off the coat or her high heels. She closed the door and went to the living room. She sat there for a while in a complete darkness trying to gather her thoughts.
"Oh God..." she sighed burying her face in hands
That's when she heard the lock in the door. She didn't move though – she waited patiently for the girl to come in. But she wasn't expecting her to be drunk.
Ronnie made quite a big entrance stumbling into their flat – using the doorknob not to fall down.
"Oh shit!" she said to herself slamming the door and taking off her shoes
