Chapter 8

“What happened?!” I shouted at the news-bearer.

“He’s—you’ve got to see it for yourself.”

“Why?! What happened?”

“Tammy, I told you, you’ve got to see it yourself. You won’t believe me even if I say it.”

I rolled my eyes. I wanted to say, ‘Try me’ and challenge him. He’s really stupid, actually.

“Don’t even go there,” he warned as if reading my thoughts. “If you won’t move now, you won’t find out.”

I jolted and stood up before running as fast as I can towards our house, leaving both men shocked. What could have possibly happened that I need to check it myself or else? I know, I call Ash a loser and stuff, but I do love him. He’s my brother after all.

As my feet touched the familiar backyard, I felt chilled—to the bones.

Because what I saw was beyond me.

There, just a few yards from me was a big, gray wolf. Its head was down casted and it was sitting on its butt. It didn’t look up when I skidded to a halt almost as if he was afraid I would feel disgusted of him.

I slowly walked towards him, problem about my brother forgotten. It looked up and stared straight at me. His e-eyes… they were so black… like…

My brother’s.

“Ash?”

It dipped it’s head, yes.

“Wow… just, wow.”

It lolled its big tongue out at gave me a cheeky grin, if that’s what you call it.

“How can you be a wolf, too?”

It gazed at the direction I came from and tilted its head to my left to see well. I peeked at where he was staring at and gaped. There he is.

My big bad wolf.

“Hey, Caden,” I greeted nonchalantly.

I looked back at Ash to see that his jaw was hanging open, showing off his canines.

“Close that,” I ordered, restraining myself to not laugh.

Suddenly, I thought came to me.

“Did you bite him?” I asked wolf Caden. “Is that why he’s now a wolf, like you? Did you?” I accused.

If he wasn’t a wolf I knew he’d be rolling around and laughing his ass out, but fortunately for me, he wasn’t. So he was just standing there, barking like mad.

I glared at him. I know nothing about this stuff! How dare he laugh at me?

“You’re stupid,” I said, not even bothered that he was a wolf, a big wolf that was fast and can lounge at me anytime he wanted. But this was Caden, I didn’t think he will. I rolled my eyes at him when he just didn’t stop.

I turned to Ash and stroked his furry head. “Hmm, I think I like you better in this state.”

He made a snorting kind of noise at the back of his throat, making me chuckle lightly.

Someone touched my shoulder, making me jump.

“Congratulations, Ash!”

Congratulations? For what? Becoming a werewolf? God, Matt is stupid!

Ash gave him a lopsided grin and jutted his big head to me, as if questioning, “How well did your date went?”

I almost gaped at him.

“Well, seeing as she’s here, and I’m here, what do you think?” he punched Ash’s hunch playfully, earning him a growl. “Hey! It wasn’t my fault someone here is stupid.” I don’t know if it was just me or he actually darted a look at Caden.

“S-s-stupid?” someone faked choked.

I looked behind me again to see Caden strutting to us, butt-naked. I gaped at him as I ogled at his perfect body. He snapped his fingers at my face with a smirk on his. I rolled my eyes.

“Yeah, you’re stupid,” I concluded.

“Says the girl who thinks werewolf bite can make you another!”

I scoffed. So he’s seriously throwing that at me, huh? “I’m not the one standing butt-naked.”

“I’m not the one ogling.”

“I am not!”

“Who says you are?”

I blushed deep red. Good thing it was dark here or all these guys would see.

“Don’t think I couldn’t see your blush, Tammy,” he chirped.

Ugh! Why does he have to have super senses?

He winked at me before turning to Ash. “Just take a deep breath, calm yourself,” he said… soothingly? Why is he soothing my dear brother?

“What are you doing?” I interrupted but he ignored me.

“Now, think of something happy.” He waited. For what, I don’t know. “Not funny, I said, happy. There’s a difference.”

“I’m trying to help him--,” Caden answered me after a moment.

For a split second, I thought Ash was having epilepsy or some delirious illness but after shaking tremendously, he lunged in mid-air and –

There he was, my brother, butt-naked.

“Eww!” I cried loudly as I covered my eyes with both hands. “That would be forever burned in my mind!”

And who wants their brother’s naked body etched on their brains? No one, that is!

I heard three sets of laughter and I inched my hands lower. Both Caden and Ash were now wearing clothes, thank god.

“Oh my god! That would forever be on my mind, blah blah blah!” Ash exclaimed in a high-pitch voice I started to hate just now. The other two men just laughed along with his joke and did nothing to defend me. Fine!

“YOU ARE SO FREAKING IRRITATING, YOU LOSER!” I screamed. These egoistic men are so annoying most of the time. I turned back at them and stomped my way to the kitchen’s back door. I went inside and slammed the door on their laughter so hard, the hinges shook.

I went up to my room and did my evening ritual.

They should thank someone because I’m dead tired now. But if I’m not, I swear, they’re going to pay! And with that, I fell into a deep sleep.

**Hello! So, what do you think? Is Tammy a werewolf too? What do you want her to be?  Anyway, I'm going to post another chapter right away because this is just a filler chapter. Sorry if it didn't meet any of your standards and for taking so long, though. I've been super busy, as always, but I'm finding some lone time to write this story sooo... Comment or Vote! Thank you very much, everyone!
