Trotting up the driveway of Kash's house. Riley looked back at her driver that was standing outside of the car waiting on her to be done with dealing with her children's father. Forming her hand into a fist motion, she knocked on the door and waited to see if anyone was going to answer. She didn't see any cars in the driveway but that didn't mean that they weren't in the garage and she hoped like hell that Nadine wasn't in because she didn't feel like dealing with her dusty ass today especially when she had to get to the hospital afterwards where she'll be meeting her mother and Kairo.
Leaning over to the side, she peeked in the halfway open blinds to see that Kash was literally sitting down in the living room like he didn't just heard her knocking on his damn door. Sucking her teeth. Riley tried the door knob to see if it was locked and to her luck it wasn't so she pushed the door open and stepped inside to a harsh smelly scent.
The house smelt like straight up ass and some serious alcohol with a mixture of bodily sweat. When she got closer to Kash, that's when she realized that the harsh body odor scent was truly coming from his funky ass.
Waving her hand in his face, "Kash? Why didn't you answer the door?"
Kash didn't bother to look at her as he took a swing at the bottle of scotch that he was nursing in his hand. "W-why you here Riley?" He slurred with a smirk.
Her hand quickly went up to her nose where she pinched the bridges of it together. Not only was his body smelling terribly wrong but so was his mouth. Kash looked as if he just neglected his whole life and it was starting to puzzle the shit out of Riley. It wasn't as if Kalise was dead and they had to be mourning.
She needed him and as the mother of his children, she was now feeling responsible to help the man that she loved not only for himself but their kids as well. It was instanced like this where parents that weren't together seem to forget that regardless of their relationship; they should make sure the other parent is doing well mentally and vice versa.
It takes a lot of strength to ask for help and if no one wants to ask for help then who can we really save?
If only everyone saw the beauty in asking for a helping hand, a lot of people wouldn't have been the way that they are today. Every no, eventually turns into a yes and that's something that she lives by.
When one door closes; another one opens and whatever has Kash in this funk. He needed to get out of it that closed door and leave it just like that—closed. No need to look back on the things you can't change but it's always good to look forward to the change that you can make. It all starts with you and right now she needed him to see that he had to want to get out of this funk.
