"My name's actually Bob Ross, you see-"
"Shut up Kaminari", Sero scolded him, then turned to the mage,"So...you're Uraraka?"
"Yes", she nodded to them,"And, on the account that you called the blonde here Kaminari and not Bob Ross, I'd say you two are Kaminari and Sero."
Sero nodded before turning around,"Thank you again for the escort."
Ojiro nodded, and the four turned around to begin their return to the forest. Strangely, Sero noticed that Ojiro walked with his tail around Shinsou's waist, and Satou and Koda walked hand-in-hand. Huh. Cute.
He turned back to Uraraka and asked,"Do you know anything else about me and 'Bob Ross' here?"
Uraraka smiled and said,"Of course. There's no need for you to explain anything. I'll go get the charm that you can contact me with- c'mon. Let's go."
Kaminari and Sero exchanged confused looks, but followed Uraraka into the village.
They got a couple weird looks, but honestly, they didn't mind. They were weird people, after all.
As they approached Uraraka's presumed home, Kaminari noticed several people sitting on her porch. Two had green hair- one was a broccoli looking boi and the other one was sitting a bit like a frog. The other two people were some guy who's hair looked like a sideways PokéBall and another guy in full on knight amour. In this heat? Like, dude, aren't you melting?
Uraraka waved at them, and they all waved back. Kaminari and Sero sort of just stood their awkwardly.
When the broccoli boi caught sight of them, he immediately ran over and started asking a million different questions like,"Are you guys the guys Uraraka's been talking about? What do your weapons do? Are they enchanted? Have any powers? Why are you here again? A quest? What're you questing for?"
The PokéBall guy facepalmed.
Sero recognized the look instantly and sympathized with him. It was the oh-my-gosh-why-did-I-fall-in-love-with-this-idiot look. Sero had worn it many times before.
"I'll just be a minute", Uraraka said before heading off into her house and disappearing from both Kaminari and Sero's vision. They were left with a ton of strangers.
"Er...", Kaminari began, and slowly started to introduce himself and Sero.
The broccoli looking boi turned out to be Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, who was a great tactician; the frog one was Tsuyu Asui, who actually had the soul of a frog and could do a ton of cool frog stuff; the PokéBall guy was Prince Shouto Todoroki, who ran away from his kingdom and his jerk dad who's also a huge meme; and the knight guy was Tenya Iida, who wore the amour in honor of his older brother, a noble knight who was seriously injured defending the village. Iida was determined to become a knight just like him.
Kaminari explained his and Sero's stories, as Kaminari was less of an awkward emo disaster in front of people than Sero.
Upon explaining the death of his older brother, Iida totally comforted him. To know someone felt the same as you was kind of nice, in Kaminari's opinion; but of he'd prefer Iida's brother not to be hurt at all.
It wasn't long before Uraraka returned with what looked like a simple silver chain bracelet. On the end was a single, diamond-shaped obsidian charm.
She handed it to Kaminari and said,"When you want to contact me, just say my name backwards. That will activate the spell, and we'll be able to communicate."
"Thanks!", Kaminari nodded to her and slipped the bracelet onto his wrist; it seemed to fit perfectly.
"I wish you luck on your journey, young Kaminari and young Sero", Iida bowed to them,"And for all the families who need it."
"Me too!! Everyone else has already agreed that when the time comes, we'll fight at your side, too!!", Midoriya smiled, and Kaminari made a mental note that having a tactician like him was definitely a plus.
"Don't get yourselves killed; ribbit. We'll be waiting for you", Asui gave them a playful grin, her tongue poking out of the side of her mouth.
"Be careful.", Todoroki warned them,"Stay away from my father's kingdom. If you're looking for royal help, you've already got it; if you're looking for even more royal help, still don't go to my dad. I'd recommend the kingdom ruled by King and Queen Bakugou- oh, wait, just King Bakugou. He may not want to help you, but I've met his personal bodyguard before, and I'm pretty sure he can convince King Bakugou to help you. It's on the way to the Apex Talon. I here that there's a new kingdom gaining power as well; a princess I've heard of there may lend you aid."
"Thanks, Todoroki."
"Anytime, Kaminari."
"Well, we'd better get going before Sero has a heart attack from his people-phobia."
Everyone turned to look at Sero, who could've easily fainted right on the spot.
Uraraka, Asui, Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida all waved them farewell as they left the village. On their way out, they passed a very strange looking knight. He practically sparkled. Maybe a friend of Iida's.
When Kaminari and Sero reached the edge of the village, Kaminari spoke up,"Hold on Sero; I have to make a dad joke."
"Wha-"
"URARAKA!!!", Kaminari yelled to them, absentmindedly noticing that the sparkling knight had joined Iida's side. Maybe it was that Aoyama guy Shouji had mentioned. Probably, cause he was holding hands with Iida and Kaminari doubted Shouji would leave out someone important like that,"YOU'RE A-MAGE-ING, BROSKIE!!!"
Sero could he Uraraka's slouch of defeat even from across the village. Asui shook her head in utter disappointment and put an arm around Uraraka's shoulders. Todoroki turned around and walked away. Midoriya frantically hurried after him.
Kaminari waved them goodbye one last time before turning back to Sero,"Alright! Let's go!"
The two continued walking until night fell upon them once more. They were coming to the edge of the forest; Uraraka's village had only been in a clearing.
It wasn't long before they were completely out of the woods.
"Hey...", Kaminari said, a look of surprise overtaking him,"It's sort of crazy that we haven't been attacked by anything yet, huh? I mean, Dark Shadow surprised us, but that doesn't really count."
"Don't jinx it", Sero scoffed, shaking his head but smiling all the same,"Or else we really will get into trouble."
That was when it attacked them.
