*hmmm, what should this random ass chapter be? Any ideas?
Dorian: *staring down at the ground* maybe do something like a small holiday. Get the reader to actually answer the questions.....
How is that going to help?
Dorian: fine fine, they leave me no choice then. I never wanted to do this ever, but since they won't respond.... plague them with nightmares...
*everyone sweats with me* wtf? Dorian holy shit....
Dorian: it's an idea isn't it?
Well, yeah, but-
Dorian: but what?
Hmmm, perhaps...... how about this, an entire night meant to haunt the reader's character?
Everyone, but Dorian and I: *sweats more*
Dorian: perfect....
Then we have our chapter.... -Eren*
(Eren)
Sitting under the tree I had climbed was Dorian. He had his head leaned against the trunk and left me practically stranded, I grumbled under my breath slightly and shifted to another branch. He stirred, but didn't wake. I sighed, 'could this get any worse?' I wondered silently to myself.Something above me snapped a branch and I shifted to glance back, not entirely startled at all. Dorian shifted once more, but did not awaken. 'Oi, this guy doesn't wake worth shite does he?' I questioned myself.
Something snapped below me, and I gazed down. Dorian was still asleep. I smirked, 'well then, led see how you sleep through this!' I laughed inwardly and shifted into the form of a shadowed wolf, howling loudly into the wind.
Dorian jumped up from the tree, and (Y/n), Hawke, Iron Bull, and Varric darted towards my howl. I growled to myself as they simply looked around themselves. I howled again, this time louder, but they still didn't hear me. I shifted back and sighed softly, "you'd think they'd have noticed me by now..." I shrug softly and look around.
The branch I was perched on snapped, gaining their attention, and I caught myself on another branch, somehow unnoticed. I stared wide-eyed and looked around frantic to find what was doing it. Being unable to find anything I sighed and began a silent decent down the tree.
After a moment of waiting, I gazed about me, taking in the smell of flowers. Roses, tulips, and lilys, I looked at the tree a willow of course. I looked to the tiny little pond, in the center of it all. In truth it was beautiful, I sighed, "this place disgusts me..." was all that escaped my mouth.
I heard a gasp and a quick, "how dare you!" From behind and didn't need to turn to know who had said it out of the group.
"How dare I?" I gazed back lazily at the mage, "how dare you?" I questioned back.
He looked taken aback by my statement and focused on glaring at the ground. He mumbled something and shifted away from himself, turning to the approaching group, "look, I found this person..." he pointed to me and I laughed loudly.
"Such a sad time, isn't it?" I asked, staring into the pond. I walked closer to it and asked the question again, this time however the clear water rippled lightly.
They stared wide-eyed at the moving water, I sat beside it and placed a hand just slightly over the water, and it moved closer to my hand. Solas approached and spoke softly, "only spirits can make water respond to them.... which means... your not a demon, are you?" He asked me, but I simply remained unresponsive.
Hawke tried to speak, "how are you doing that?" She asked softly, but I didn't speak at all.
Dorian, after having taken a seat beside me, placed his own hand by mine. The water rippled and splashed his hand as he looked down into it.
(Y/n) looked dumb-founded and tried herself, but the water didn't seem to like her as much, as it instead dragged her in.
(Y/n)
I yelled, having sat up quickly. I looked around frantically, only to see that I was alone and no where near the pond from my nightmare. There was a soft knock on the glass of the door to the balcony. I looked, seeing a smiling demon. They seemed to be focused on something outside, and their gaze was over the edge, but their body was facing me. The demon stood tall and they crashed through the glass at the same time as a canon went off. It lunged towards me and I screamed, sitting up from yet another nightmare.
I gazed around, finding myself deep within a crystal, everyone, but the one who would show their face, was trying to free me. I heard the one facing away from me say a phrase, "I'm sorry, but this is goodbye," as they began to walk away. I tried breaking out of it myself and found quickly, that I was trapped within the prison.
I screamed, sitting up. I saw fire and demons, and an army of monsters. They howled and attacked and even feasted on the corpses that they slaughtered. There was still screaming of men and women, and even the sound of baby's crying. People were slaughtered one by one in front of me, until it was deathly quiet.
I heard a whisper of a voice, from the one who's face was never revealed to us, "you should have listened to me, we could have helped you... even so, your plans weren't working, so I did what I had to,"the said, tossing the head of none other than Varric, towards my startled form, "I hope you don't mind, but I killed your family."
"No!" I cried, sitting up, looking around, and holding my eyes closed.
"No what?" The voice came.
"Don't hurt them!" I shouted, my eyes still closed.
"Why? Who?" They asked softly.
"Everyone..." I whispered into the darkness, as it began swallowing me up.
"Why is that? Are you afraid?" They asked softly.
"Yes.... why?" I asked, opening my eyes to be met with a baby blue eye color, but there was no face... only the eyes.
"Then I think it's time you....... woke up," the voice said, and I sat up terrified.
