💫Goggles Epilogue: Let's See The Queen!

Jupiter and Saturn were lying on the floor.

"I can't believe...we were defeated again..."

"Especially with our new advantage..."

The rest of the squidbeak approached them, and Goggles stood in front.

"You know...you guys don't have to work for the queen. You could...help us if you wanted to" he said, holding out a hand.

"Wh...what?"

"After all we've done?"

"Sure! We all make mistakes sometimes!" Goggles replied happily.

Jupiter and Saturn exchanged glances. Slowly, they stood up, maintaining eye contact with the squidbeak. Jupiter reached her hand over...

And slapped Goggles' hand away.

Goggles pulled his hand back, shouting in pain. Rider leapt forward to attack the duo, But Emperor held him back.

"Pff, join a group like you? As if!" Jupiter scoffed.

"Yeah, we're not going to. Unlike Calliope's little birds, we plan on staying LOYAL!"

Saturn then threw a smoke bomb down, and when the smoke cleared, the two were gone.

"Ugh, I hate those two..." Rider growled.

"Well, at least they're gone now..." Hachi mumbled.

"Yeah, let's get a move on now that they're gone" Emperor said.

And so, the squidbeak continued forward to the doors in front of them. They paused before opening it, unsure if this was right.

"Well uh. This is it, I guess" Flip said.

"Yeah...are we ready?" Prince asked.

"I hope so..." Goggles replied.

Slowly but carefully, they opened the doors.

There, in front of them...

Was a series of doors and hallways.

Rider scream-groaned in frustration so loudly that it almost tied with the time Emperor scream-groaned in the forest when the shadowlings took over inkopolis.

-----

"Almost done..."

"Queen Marion! The inklings and octolings are here!"

"Ah, wonderful. I am almost finished with my business, so I suppose it will be okay not to hold them off."

"Understood, majesty."

The guard then left, leaving Marion to do her work.

"Now then, my little star...let's see you shine your brightest."

-----

"Are you KIDDING ME?!"

"Rider, calm down! We can't have the guards hear us!" Nana said.

"Yeah, besides, we can just split up and cover each of the paths that way!" Gloves added.

"Well...fine, I guess."

And so the group split into pairs (Verse in a group of three), and went down each of the hallways. They tried every door down their path, but most of them were locked. They were also careful as to hide behind any statue or decoration nearby when guards walked through the halls. So far they had no luck. They felt they had to hurry though, as they didn't know if Jupiter and Saturn had some sort of backup plan.

Prince, Emperor, and Verse had gone down one path, and had had no luck. They found some pretty fancy doors, but none of them contained the queen. As Prince and Emperor went down one hallway, Verse went down another. Verse thought this hallway would contain nothing, but spotted a door that was guarded by two twinklings, both in seemingly professional and fancy attire. That HAD to be it. She quietly ran back to the rest of her group.

She told them she might have found it, and so the trio went back to the center area. When everyone else regrouped, she told them again, and they ran off in that direction, wanting to waste little to no time. As they approached it, the guards exchanged glances before allowing them inside. The squidbeak were a little suspicious as to why they didn't attack, but proceeded with caution anyway. So THIS was the door, huh?

Welp.

It was time.

Rider pushed the door open...
