She felt him drape the soft blanket on her shivering shoulders, and, wrapping it around herself, leaned gently against him.
She sighed.
The stars shone down on the two, piercing the dark, like small pin pricks in the wide expanse of deep blue cloth.
The shadowy grass swayed with the breeze, the trees shuddered, and the sound of wind chimes drifted from across the meadow.
He pulled her closer into his arms, as she laid her head on his shoulder.
The air was cold, but it's chilling fingers couldn't touch them.
Soft smiles adorned their faces, adding to the warm atmosphere surrounding them.
They gazed out at the portrait of twilight, simultaneously light and shadow.
