Chapter 5

Carrisa POV

1270, 1273, 1275, 1277

I saw as I ran down the hall at the hospital I saw room 1278.

When I walked into the room I saw Emma with a cast on her arm and a few bruises on her face and legs.

She was asleep by the time I got I there so I just sat there holding her hand.

After 15 minutes or so I felt her hand move.

" Emma?" I asked

" Carrisa? is that you?" she asked

" Yeah, it's me. How are you feeling?" I asked

" I'm ok. My arm hurts. Do you know what happened?" She asked

" Let me check." I said as I grabbed the papers of her injuries out of the folder on the bedside table.

" Hmm... It says that you have a broken elbow and a few bruises from the fall." I said

" Oh. Can you get the doctor so I can have pain meds?" she asked

"Sure" I said as I was getting up.

The doc walked in as soon as I got up with meds so I just sat back down.

" I thought you might need these meds now that your up!" he said as he handed her apple sauce with crushed up Advil in it.

" Thank you" Emma said as she ate the apple sauce.

" Can you stay longer?" she asked me

" Yeah. I'll stay as long as you want." I replied.

4 hrs later

" Carrisa, carrisa wake up!" I heard.

" Hmm?" I asked

" It's time to go." The voice that I made out as my mom said.

" Okay. Fine" I said

" Good night Emma. I'll see you tomorrow" I whispered to Emma

Emma stirred when I said that to her but didn't wake up.

On the way home I phoned Jack and told him what happened. He said be would stay over night with her. Then I would go when I wake up so he can sleep.

I hope she gets better soon....
