AVA
Kaylee and I decide to skip the rest of the day. The only classes I had left were Spanish and Calc. Kaylee and I decided to go to her house to spend the rest of the day. Her parents would totally be okay with us ditching, blaming Senioritis for it. I loved her parents, they were funny, nice, supportive, and also completely oblivious to the fact my dad hit me. They were also completely in love and devoted to one another. It was really sweet, actually, but Kaylee found it disgusting how the could get lost in each other's eyes. We ran up to her room, which was painted cream, with a white bedspread that had black lace details on a black metal frame bed, a black dresser, black picture frames filled with black and white stills Kaylee shot herself, and a black desk and chair with a white colored blanket thrown over the back. It was extremely elegant and sophisticated, in a dark manner.
"Hey, girls. Another case of Senioritis?" Mrs. Morris asked as she poked her head in the room.
"Yeah, Ava and I weren't feeling like staying today." Kaylee said casually, knowing her mom wouldn't care.
"All right, ladies, let me know if you get hungry, I'll be in the office, finishing up my work." She said over her shoulder as she walked out. Mrs. Morris was a Elementary school teacher at some fancy private school, so she always had some leftover work to do, and Mr. Morris was a heart surgeon, one of the best in the country. Unfortunately that meant he was always moving from place to place, so many hospitals offering a bigger and better salary, vacation times, and bonuses. This was one of the longest stays. Six years was almost a record for the Morris's. That also meant that they may be moving on soon. A frown came on to my face, and Kaylee noticed."Ava, girlie, what is it?" she asked.
"I-uh...um, its, uh.... I just, um-" I spluttered, my face flushing.
"Stop thinking about that b*tch. She'll get what's coming to her. She has no real power." Kaylee reassured me. "C'mon, I have The Breakfast Club on Netflix, let's watch." she said as she got up and turned off the lights. I moved over to her bed, and she came and sat down by me. I sighed, not really paying attention to the movie, too lost in my thoughts to focus on anything else.
