As I was slowly retreating from my mid-life crisis at 16, Bucket slowly but surely started waking up "hey stranger" I said weakly. Bucket, being Bucket, woke up and immediately asked "when are we getting breakfast?' In which he asks this question every morning, and every evening, and just any time when he has the ability to speak. This time it was particularly funny depending on how the sun literally just went down. It was too funny I just started crying from the laughter. Or maybe it was from the Nitrous Oxide they gave me. Eh, who knows at this point? "Bucket you realize it's 9 pm, right?" Ok, that voice caught me by surprise as I turned around to see Ruby standing beside me in her usual 'talk to me and I'll punch you in the jaw' kinda stance. "Ruby, take a chill pill you don't always have to be on his ass".

Glad to see Spencer hasn't changed one bit. She pushed a curled piece of her dark brown hair behind her ear. I mean, I like Spencer, a lot, but god, that little thing she does with her hair bothers me. It's like when she does that I wanna shave all her hair off. You know? Anyway, after she did that I grunted which she rolled her eyes at. But like, in a playful way. Not an "I was forced to be here leave me the hell alone you idiotic shrub" way.

Anywho, after that epiphany I had, Emiley, who for the record I've seen at school but never talked to, just skidded through the door like it was nothing. Now to help you understand my confusion, imagine, your dog broke its leg and when you took it to the vet, your ex-boyfriend showed up asking you to pay his insurance fees. Weird. I know. It confused all of us. Ruby, who was looking at her with a snarky expression, Bucket, who frankly was half-asleep that whole time, and Spencer, who kept looking back and forth between me and Emily. I was about as shocked as the rest of them. She {Emiley} started babbling on about gunshots and murders and lies and...Daniel.
