"Hey Kaki," Sofia greets her as she gets in the passenger side.

"Hey," She says. "You said papa is at work?"

Sofia nods. "I'm starving. Can we get something to eat on the way back?"

Camila starts the drive back to Miami. "I have a bunch of food at home. You can cook for yourself," she told her. "Plus you shouldn't be eating that junk food anyways," she lectured her.

Sofia ignores her sister and instead uses her phone to use uber eats so by the time they reach Miami, the food will have been delivered.

Camila doesn't head Sofia say anything. "Hello am I talking to the wall?" She asks.

"Yeah yeah I heard you," she brushed her off.

The older Latina stops at a red lightning and takes a moment to really observe her sister. "So how was school the rest of the week? You're not getting into more trouble are you?" She asks feeling concerned.

Sofia lets out a deep breath. "No. I've actually been seeing the school counselor. He's been helping me with my stress,"

Camila faintly smiles and continues to drive. "That's good Sof. I'm glad you're using your resources at school," she told her.

"Plus you know Ms. Jauregui has been keeping tabs on me so there's that. Like I'm glad that she didn't call mami or papa but seriously she could like chill," Her sister added. She can tell she was getting annoyed of Lauren.

"She cares. I wish I had a cool teacher like her when I was in high school,"

"Most teachers suck anyways," Sofia says.

Camila laughs at her sister. "Yeah whatever you say Sof,"

After an hour's drive, they had finally gotten home. Sofia walks straight into the kitchen to make herself something to eat and Camila takes the time to call Becky. She also goes back to organizing Mani's baby shower.

With a notepad and pen, she places her phone next to her on speaker and dials her friend.

"Hey Mila," she hears her answer.

"Hey," She begins. "So guess who texted me today?"

"Who?" Becky asks.

"Austin," she told her. "He texted me asking to meet up with him. I don't know why but I told him I would tomorrow night,"

"Okay so why though?" Becky sounded a little defensive.

"I just.. I don't know. I feel like there's some shit I need to get off my chest. Even though I broke it off with him, I never really.. had the closure for myself. Does that make sense?" She confided in her friend.

There was a silent pause and Camila could feel Becky trying to put her words together.

"Are you.. upset?" Camila asks concerned.

She hears Becky breathing grow with each inhale and exhale. "I.. I'm not upset no." She states. "I get why you would want to see him face to face. For me personally, I don't think I would. He and I talked things out the other day. We're only co-parenting Marie and that's it. Nothing more and nothing less." She tells her.

"How did it go with him?" Camila asks while writing down a list of decorations she needed to buy for the shower.

Becky stays silent again. "He'll tell you the same thing he told me," she says softly.

"And what's that?" Camila asks. She was nervous for what Becky was about to say.

"That he's still in love with you," she can hear Becky sniffling in the background. She stopped writing and dropped her pen on the table.
