Chapter 19

Sora heard the sound of footsteps calmly walking into the Dead Gran. She stayed silent, trying to figure out who it was. "This place is huge. Where do we even begin looking?" Fubuki's voice asked. They're here. Sora thought. "Shu! Fubuki! I'm in here!" She yelled. The footsteps came to a stop. "What is it Shu?" Fubuki asked. "I heard someone." Shu replied. "Shu! Fubuki!" Sora yelled again. "This way!" Shu said, the footsteps got closer to the door of Sora's room. "Shu! Fubuki! In here!" Sora yelled. The footsteps stopped at the door as it opened, revealing Shu and Fubuki. "Sora!" Shu yelled as he ran towards the white and gold haired blader, he came to a stop in front of her. "What have they done to you?" He asked. "Conducted test, chained me up, that's about it." Sora replied. "I'm glad that's all they've done." Shu said as he reached for the chains. "Wait Shu, these chains are electrified. If you touch them, they'll zap both of us. You've got to find a way to deactivate them first." Sora said. Shu let his hands drop to his sides. "Have you noticed them press a button before the chains deactivate?" He asked. "I think it's by the door. I'm not sure which one though." Sora replied. Shu walked towards the door and stared thoughtfully at the panel. "If these buttons are in the order of what you come to then the chains should be the last one." Shu said before pressing a button on the panel. The chains released Sora, causing her to land on her feet and stumble forward a little. "It worked." Sora said as she stood up straight and stretched her arms, releasing the tension in them. Shu turned towards Sora and ran towards her before hugging her tightly. Sora gladly returned the hug. "I missed you." Sora said. "I spent every second I had trying to figure out where you had gone. I thought I'd never find you." Shu said. "I'm glad you did find me." Sora replied. The two let go of each other and turned to face Fubuki. "Wait, where's Katsumi?" Sora asked. "I'll explain later. Aiger's the one that needs you guys help right now." Fubuki replied. "I know, I saw what he did to Valtryek. We should get going before Hearts finds out you're here." Sora said. The three bladers walked out of the room and down the hallway, it eventually opened up to a small room with a stadium in the middle. The room had no roof, only walls. Sora got the feeling that they were being watched and looked around. She spotted Count Night standing on one of the walls. "I can see you Count Night. What do you want?" Sora asked. Count Night jumped down from the wall and landed in front of the stadium. He took out two pieces of a bey's layer and snapped them together before putting a purple colored piece in the center. He added a metal, frame, and tip, finishing the bey. "Remember that little chat we had earlier?" Count Night asked. "If you think you can beat me, go ahead and try." Sora replied, stepping in front of the stadium. She unclipped her white and gold launcher from her belt and loaded Draco onto it. She twisted herself around to where her launcher was on her left side, her right side facing the stadium and she was crouched down, prepared to launch herself into the air. "3...2...1...LET IT RIP!" The two yelled in unison. Sora leapt into the air, untwisted herself and pulled the ripcord as hard as she could. Cho-Z Draco activated its Cho-z wings and began to chase Count Night's bey around the stadium in right spin. "Lets see how Draco does against my Dual Eclipse." Count Night said. "You're about to find out how mistaken you are for challenging me." Sora said calmly. "Oh really? I guess we'll just have to test that theory. Dead Impulse." Count Night said. Eclipse suddenly headed for the center before rocketing towards Draco. "Not like I haven't seen that before. Dragon Slash!" Sora said. Draco rocketed toward Eclipse and the two collided. Draco's Cho-z wings made contact with Eclipse and burst it. Sora kneeled beside the stadium and picked up Draco before standing back up and putting the white bey back in her bey holder and clipping her launcher back to her belt. She looked up and saw that Count Night had disappeared. "We should get going." Sora said. The three bladers walked to the other side of the room and down the hallway. "So, Fubuki, how was the Battleship cruise?" Sora asked. "It was intense. Katsumi was one of the winners, she tied with Aiger." Fubuki replied. "I heard that she had to step out for three days." Sora said. "She was in the medical bay. She collapsed in the middle of training. I think she had a severe headache. But when she was able to blade again, she changed completely. Even her eyes changed." Fubuki said. Sora and Shu suddenly stopped walking, their eyes wide. "Her eyes... what color were they?" Sora asked. "Purple, but not like Lui's. Hers were a lot more menacing." Fubuki replied. "I knew Katsumi was in trouble. Ashtem and Phi must have done that to her." Sora whispered. "Where is she Fubuki?" Shu asked. "She went missing after Aiger and Valt's match. Her bey..." Fubuki's voice trailed off. Sora and Shu turned around to face Fubuki, only to see the shattered pieces of Alter Forneus' layer in his right hand. "Who did this?" Sora asked, managing to keep the anger out of her voice. "Phi. Phi destroyed my sister's bey." Fubuki said before putting the pieces of the bey back into his pocket. Sora's eyes narrowed and she growled in anger. When I find you Phi, you're gonna pay for breaking Alter Forneus. She thought. "Don't worry Fubuki, we'll find Katsumi." Sora said, her expression changing to a calm one. "I just hope nothing has happened to her." Fubuki said. "Me too. Come on, we should get going." Sora said. Sora and Shu turned back around and the three bladers continued down the hallway. The hallway began to open up to another room. Aiger Akabane was standing on the other side, looking at the shadows of the hallway as if he was trying to figure out who was coming towards him. Sora and Shu simultaneously walked out of the hallway and into the light, before coming to a stop across from the maroon haired blader. Aiger's eyes widened as he recognized the two. "It's you! You're Shu Kurenai and Sora Hagane!" He yelled, his voice conveying his shock.
