Chapter 23

Fubuki and Ranjiro ran up to Aiger whose hair and clothes were soaked from the rain. "Aiger, why are you standing out here? You're soaked to the bone!" Ranjiro said. Fubuki looked at something that was laying beside the stadium. "Wait, isn't that Achillies?" Fubuki asked. Ranjiro looked down at the three pieces of Achilles shattered layer, a look of anger appeared on his face. "Who did this to you?" Ranjiro growled. "I was wrong about nearly everything. I thought that by letting Ashtem control me everytime I battled that I would get stronger. I should have listened to you Cap'n. You were right when you said I only wanted to destroy my opponent. I'm pretty sure that's what Ashtem took advantage of and used it to control me so easily. I wasn't acting like the blader I should've been. Achilles was destroyed because of me." Aiger whimpered as he collected the pieces of Achilles layer before bringing his arms to his chest and letting his head hang, some of his wet hair falling onto his face. Sora, Shu, and Valt walked up the the maroon haired blader. "We can help you, Aiger." Sora said. "Sora and I can come back to Japan and help you create a new Achilles." Shu said. "Even after what I've said to you guys, you're still willing to help me?" Aiger asked. "I know the look of someone who's ready to change. The real question is, are you willing to accept our help?" Sora replied. "Yes." Aiger said as he stood up and looked at the two bladers. "Lets go then." Shu said.

~Ashtem POV~

Ashtem scowled as he realized Phi had broken the device that was hidden in Achilles layer. That idiot! Now I have to make a new device just to control that kid. Ashtem thought. He turned away from his computer and walked out of the room, walking down the hallway to his lab. He stopped at the second to last door in the hall, he stepped inside the room which had white walls and an operating table in the middle. Doctors and scientists surrounded the table, completely focused on the blond haired girl who was unconscious at the moment. From what Ashtem could see, the girl's arms and legs were restrained and they had been cut open and were being injected with several chemicals. One of the doctors had noticed him watching and walked over to him. "We are just about done here. She'll be ready for the next phase." The doctor said. "Perfect." Ashtem said. The doctor walked back to the table and continued monitoring the girl's vitals. Ashtem smirked when the girl unconsciously pulled against the restraints in reaction to the chemicals. Revenge is sweet. Isn't it Sora? If only you knew what was happening to your student. He thought before turning around and walking out of the room and walking down the hallway, through the last door and into his lab. He walked up to one of the computers and began his work.

~Sora POV~

Sora and Shu followed Aiger through the woods towards his home. The white and gold haired blader felt at peace for the moment, the forest making her feel at home. "It's been awhile since I've actually walked through the woods. I've missed this." Sora said. Aiger suddenly seemed to get really excited and ran ahead. "Come on! We're burning daylight!" He yelled. Shu chuckled in response while Sora just playfully shook her head, both of them continuing to walk along the path. The trees opened up to a huge, fenced in clearing that had several buildings and statues in it. "Mom, Dad, I'm home!" Aiger yelled before he ran up to the cows by the entrance. "I'm back! Did you miss me?" He asked. One of the cows began to lick him on the face. "Stop, that tickles!" Aiger laughed. Shu and Sora walked up behind Aiger and looked around. "So this is your home?" Shu asked. "Yep!" Aiger replied stepping away from the cows. "Aiger!" Naru said as she ran up to her older brother. She saw Shu and Sora standing behind him. "And Shu Kurenai and Sora Hagane?" She said. "Hey Naru!" Aiger said, turning to face Naru and running to her. "I hope you're not still down in the dumps. Not matter what I'll always be on your side! If there's anything I can do, just let me know!" Naru said. "What are you talking about?" Aiger asked. "I just mean... I thought I heard that Achilles was destroyed." Naru replied. "Yeah. It sure was." Aiger said, pulling the three pieces to his bey out of his pocket and holding them out for Naru to see. "It's nothing but pieces now." He continued. "That's horrible!" Naru exclaimed. "Don't worry! I'm gonna do my best to revive it. And this time, it'll be stronger than ever!" Aiger said. A man who had dark blue hair, lime green eyes, and a blue beard wearing a brown hat and long brown boots along with a blue check shirt, blue jeans with a brown belt and a green waistcoat walked out what looked to be a barn and stood at the door. "Hey Dad!" Aiger yelled before running towards the man. "Wait for me!" Naru yelled before running after her brother. Shu and Sora calmly walked towards the three. "Look Dad, I'm home! And now that I'm back, I can make a new Achilles!" Aiger said excitedly. "I can see that." The man responded. Sora immediately recognized him as Taiga Akabane, the creator of the first Turbo bey. "And Shu and Sora are gonna help me out." Aiger said. "A pleasure to meet you." Shu said. "So you're the one who created my friend Valt's bey, it's an honor to meet you." Sora said. "I'll help out too!" Naru said. "Yeah, of course! Come on, let's get to it Shu, Sora!" Aiger said before he and Naru walked away towards another barn-like building. Shu and Sora dipped their heads in respect for Taiga before turning to follow the two siblings. "Hey Shu, Sora." Taiga called. The two looked over their shoulders at him, wondering what he had to say. "Take good care of him." Taiga said. "Of course." Shu said. "Sure thing." Sora said. The two bladers looked forward and walked to the building where Aiger and Naru were waiting for them. Shu and Sora took off their trench coats and set them aside before standing beside Aiger and Naru at the table that was close to the furnace at the far end of the building. "So what kind of bey is it going to be this time?" Naru asked. "Turbo Awakening is a must so it'll have abilities like Shu and Sora's!" Aiger said with his arms crossed. "What's Turbo Awakening?" Naru asked before realization hit her. "Oh, right! That's when the Cho-Z wings pop out like Valtreyk." She said. "You're Aiger's younger sister I'm guessing?" Sora asked. "Yep!" Naru replied. "Nice to meet you. Aiger has told us a lot about you. I gotta say, you and him did pretty good creating Z Achilles. And from what you just said you're pretty smart when it comes to beys and their parts and abilities." Sora said. "Thanks!" Naru said. "So Aiger, you ready to start creating your new Achilles?" Shu asked. "Yes. Lets get started!" Aiger said.
