Sora sat beside Valt on the front row of the stands watching as Senior Hanami was introducing the competitors. "In the red corner, it's the legendary blader of the Raging Bulls, Shu Kurenai. His bey is called Cho-Z Spryzen." He said. Shu walked to the stadium, a neutral expression on his face as he watched his opponent enter the arena. "In the blue corner, the Lord of Destruction has descended, it's Phi. He'll be using his bey Dead Phoenix." Senior Hamami said. Phi walked to the stadium with a smirk on his face. "Which will prevail, Light or Darkness? What do you think?" He taunted. Shu stayed silent as he stared down the mismatched blader. "I choose Darkness." Phi continued. "Really? And how much Darkness do you have?" Shu asked. "Enough to swallow you whole." Phi replied. "We'll see about that." Shu said calmly as he readied his bey and launcher. The two bladers got into their launching positions. *Play music* Shu twisted to where his left side was facing the stadium, he held his launcher vertically behind his back. "First battle!" The referee said. "3...2...1...LET IT RIP!" Shu and Phi yelled in unison. Phi pulled the ripcord as hard as he could, spinning around as he did. Shu launched himself towards the stadium and untwisted himself before thrusting his launcher in front of him and quickly switching his launcher to a horizontal position and pulling the string as hard as he could. "Turbo Spryzen Crux Boost!" He yelled. Spryzen activated its Cho-z wings before landing in the stadium and spinning around it in left spin stamina mode while Pheonix spun in the center. Immediately, Spryzen began to attack Phoenix, striking it repeatedly as it spun in and out of the center. Phoenix wasn't budging from the center, it just kept taking Spryzen's attacks. "What's with Phi, why is he all quiet?" Ranjiro asked. "The way he's just sitting there is kind of unsettling." Fubuki said. "I can't end this battle prematurely. You still have more to show me haven't you?" Phi said. Spryzen jumped onto the rail, building up speed. "Now get on with it and unleash your true strength." Phi said. Cocky jerk. Sora thought. Spryzen jumped off of the rails and collided with Phoenix, both being sent away from the center. As long as Shu can keep Spryzen in its Turbo Awakened state then it won't burst. Hopefully that and Spryzen's Attack, Defence, and Stamina will be enough. Sora thought."Nothing less from a legendary blader. I suppose you'll be fun to play with." Phi said. Phoenix and Spryzen began clashing in the center, Phoenix's stamina dropping with every hit. Shu's eyes narrowed at the two beys, something was up. Phoenix knocked one of Spryzen's Cho-Z wings in, rendering it useless for now. Phoenix is taking Spryzen's attacks on purpose! Phi figured out the wings could be deactivated, be careful Shu. Sora thought. Phi smirked at seeing his plan had worked. Shu growled "Lets go Spryzen! Turbo Spryzen Whip!" He yelled. Spryzen charged at Phoenix and struck the black bey with its remaining Cho-z wing, sending it out of the stadium where it burst close to the floor. Sora stood up, staring at Phoenix's pieces in shock. Did- Did Shu burst Phoenix? She thought. "Is this happening? Was that a burst?!" Senior asked, his voice filled with shock. "Yeah, he did it!" Aiger cheered. "Boo-yah!" Ranjiro shouted. "Don't celebrate yet. We don't know for sure." Sora said. "Consulting replay." The referee said. "Alright the ref will base his decision on the instant replay. Was the Burst finish first or was it the Ring-out finish?" Senior Hamami said. The replay appeared on the screens, Phoenix hit the floor before bursting from the contact. Sora slapped her right hand on the edge of the stands. Dang it! He was so close! She thought. "A ring out finish! Shu Kurenai receives one point!" The referee said. Sora looked at Shu who looked angered at the results. Be careful Shu, Phi isn't going to hold back now that he knows how to deactivate Spryzen's Cho-Z wings. She thought. "Shu!" She yelled, causing the albino to look at her. "No fear." She said. Shu smiled for a moment before looking back at his opponent. "This is getting interesting. Good thing because otherwise destroying you wouldn't be any fun." Phi said. "Enough already." Shu growled, a determined expression on his face. "In bey battles there can never be enough destruction." Phi replied. "Hey! Get in the zone Shu!" Ranjiro yelled. "Show this guy what you've got!" Fubuki yelled. "You've got this!" Kit yelled. "Come on Shu, blow him away!" Aiger yelled. Ranjiro began chanting Shu's name, followed by Fubuki, Aiger, Kit, and Valt, soon the whole arena was cheering for the albino blader. "My, you're quite popular, Shu Kurenai." Phi said. The cheering died out as the next battle was about to begin. "Now, as our battle comes to a close, all here shall know true despair!" Phi said. Shu simply twisted himself to where his launcher was on his left side, facing the stadium. "3...2...1...LET IT RIP!" They yelled in unison. Shu launched himself towards the stadium and untwisted himself before shoving his launcher in front of himself and pulling the string as hard as he could. Spryzen activated its Cho-z wings and charged towards the center in Counter-clockwise Attack mode. Phoenix met the red and gold bey in the center and the two clashed. Both beys were sent out of the center and Phoenix jumped onto the rails and the rubber edge of its tip made contact with the edge. "Dead Break!" Phi yelled. Phoenix picked up tremendous speed and jumped off of the rails, charging towards Spryzen. The black bey hit Spryzen, sending it flying at the stadium wall. The red and gold bey hit the wall before landing safely back in the stadium. "This match belongs to us!" Shu yelled. "That's right Shu, keep going!" Valt yelled. "Turbo Counterbreak!" Shu yelled. Spryzen charged back towards the center and Phoenix and the two collided, both being sent out of the stadium on contact. The two beys landed on the ground by their bladers feet, Spryzen landing a split second before Phoenix. Shu growled in frustration, sweat dripping down his face from how hard he had pushed himself. "Phi takes the Ring-out finish by a hair! The score is now tied!" Senior Hamami said. Come on Shu, don't give up yet. Sora thought. Shu looked at the ground, breathing heavily and slightly shaking from exhaustion. "Keep it up Shu Kurenai. I wasn't expecting things to get quite so serious. This increases your destruction value ten fold." Phi taunted. "I've had enough! I'll risk everything to take you down in the third battle! I'm gonna crush you!" Shu yelled. He switch Spryzen's tip to Stamina mode and twisted himself to where his launcher was on his left side, facing the stadium. "3...2...1...LET IT RIP!" Phi and Shu yelled in unison. Spryzen activated its Cho-z wings and spun around the stadium, narrowly missing Phoenix before the black bey settled in the center of the stadium. The red bey quickly began attacking Phoenix, eventually forcing it out of the center. Both beys jumped on the same rail and collided. Phoenix's armor was knocked off and it landed in the stadium. Shu's eyes widened and he looked a little nervous. "Phoenix's armor has just been blown off!" Senior Hamami said. "And that's exactly what Phi wanted." Valt said. The beys jumped off of the rail and Phoenix rocketed towards its armor. "Dead Stinger!" Phi yelled. Phoenix hit its armor with its tip and sent it flying towards Spryzen, knocking it towards the center. Phoenix spun around the stadium, repeatedly knocking its armor back at Spryzen and keeping it trapped in the center. This is exactly what he did to Valt! Sora thought.
