The winner was *drum roll* Demigod4_life! Congrats!
I stared in shock at what just happened. 2 two older boys dragged their 'friend' away kicking and screaming. I wondered if I should call 911, but eventually, I decided to leave it to the morning. Examing the glass, I noticed a crack in the glass that wasn't there before. I sighed and shook my head. Why me, of all people, fates?
I locked up the shop and stepped outside when I saw a guy wearing a police officer uniform.
'Excuse me!' I shouted. If the guy was already here, I should get the report done with as fast as I could.
The guy turned around and jogged toward me. 'How may I help you?' he asked.
'A few boys came here, about 15 minutes ago. Ine of them, he loked around 8 years old wanted to buy candy in the candy shop-I work here. He didn't have enough money so I told him to come back with more, but he resed to go so 2 of the older boys- 10 year olds dragged him out. On the way, he kicked the glass, causing this crack,' I gestured with my hands, 'to show up.'
The police guy frowned, took out his note book and took notes. Then, he bent down to mesure the crack. "What's your name miss?"
"I'm Sally. Sally Jackson."
"Nice name. What's your phone number?"
I stared at his as he got up. Why did he want my phone number? I just met the guy- no. He couldn't be interested-.
"I need it for the report, miss." He explained seeing my expression. "Your number or the shop's, either works."
"1-843-876-1232," I replied, my cheeks slightly flushed. "It's the shop's number."
"Ok... thanks. I see what I can do."
"Thanks."
The police officer checked his watch. "I'd better be getting back to work know; my shifts almost done."
"Alright. Good night." With a nod, I left walking to was the bus stop.
(flash back ended)
I sighed and opened my eyes as my stomach growled. Time for dinner. I got up and walked into my kitchen. Opening the freezer, I spotted one of those small freezed pasta meals. I warmed it up and sat down at the table, with one of my library books. It was about the first Pegusus. It was pretty interesting.
Soon my dinner was over. Still I threw out the container and carried the book over to the couch, entranced. The story was really good! However, as time flew by, my eyes had different ideas. They began drooping, as if someone had placed bricks on them. Finally, I couldnt hold them open any longer, I closed them just for a second and...
... I started dreaming. I was in a clearing, surrounded by tall rich green trees. I could hear birds singing to one another and wolves howling, but it wasn't frighting. I turned and saw a pure white pegasus land on the grass. It causiously aproached me as I watched it, fasinated. Its wings were huge, and... beautiful. Unlike the monsters girlfriend's one.
The pegasus reached me and bent it's head. Hestitanly I reached up to pet it. It fur was soft, smooth and silky. It felt so real, I had trouble believing it wasnt real, instead of a really cool dream.
I slide my hand down the snout of the horse and he whinned quietly. I looked up at him. "What's wrong?"
The horse didn't do anything for a moment. Then suddenly, the ground erupted and I flew head first toward a tree!
What did Tyson name the hippocampus that he rode on in the Sea of Monsters?
