...

Everything is dark around me.

I try to move my body - but no, something is keeping me from it.

Raising my head, I try to look at my surroundings.

Panicked, I desperately whisper his name.

"... Ai.... Ai...!!!"

...

Everything is dark around me.

I try to move my body - but no, something is keeping me from it.

Raising my head, I try to look at my surroundings.

I desperately whisper his name.

"... Ai....!!.... Ai, I can't breathe."

"..."

His eyes slowly and lazily opened, looking at me tiredly. "What...?"
"You are squeezing me...!!" I choked out with a chuckle.
".... Oh... sorry." he mumbled, loosening his arms around me and burying his face in my shoulder.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Ai, it's already morning."
"I know." he muttered.
"So shouldn't we get up?"
"....."
"If you are late on your schedule, you get punishment." I hummed teasingly in his ear, making him groan a bit and slowly raise his face.
"You certainly enjoy teasing me, don't you?"
"Yyyup, I do. But seriously. We should get up." I giggled. "Doesn't Mister Ai Mikaze has an interview to attend, at like... early?"
"..." he sighed, sitting up. "Don't call me Mister."
"Why? You aren't fifteen anymore, you know. You are a grown man! Twenty long years, huh?" I chuckled, slowly sitting up as well and rubbing my eyes.
"You know very well I technically don't age." Ai muttered, brushing pieces of hair away from his face.
"You do now! The professor told me he improved you a bit."
"Yeah... that." he sighed once again. "... you are nineteen as well, so stop acting like a child." he grumbled, pushing on my head and making me fall back to bed.
"Geee, don't even remind me." I groaned. "I don't wanna be an adult."
"I know. And if you don't change, you will never be an adult." he told me bluntly, while standing up and tying his hair in his usual ponytail.
"... do you want me to change?" I huffed while I stared at the ceiling.
"..."
I heard footsteps, then Ai pecked my lips. "No, of course not."
"That's better." I chuckled, sitting up once again and blowing my hair out of my face.
"You look like a mess." Ai sighed.
"I know. Because someone clinged onto me like a frigging koala." I lightly elbowed his side.
"Gee, just be quiet." he muttered, a light pink color painting his cheeks.
"Oooh yeah, that improvement. You can blush now~" I sang teasingly, only making the pink color worsen.
"I told you, shut up!"
"Never." I chuckled, standing up as well.
"This was an unnecessarry improvement." he grumbled.
"Well... it makes you look adorable."
He clicked his tongue in annoyence. "Shut up, or I will make you."
"Oh yeah?" I grinned. "How? You're gonna kiss me? Oh, I'm so afraid."
"..."

...

"Okay Ai, this is not funny."
"Humour isn't my point."
"Oh come on, let me ooooout!!!" I banged on the closet door. "We will both be late from work!"
"This is simply your punishment for teasing me." I heard his smug voice from the other side of the door.
"Stop being mean! What happened to your promise of protecting me!?" I whined.
"What can hurt you in there?"
".... the dark closet is scary."
"[F/N]... you aren't a child anymore." he sighed.
"You aren't either!! And that's why you should let me ooooout!!"
"I don't think so."
"UUUUGH."
...
For a while, I was silent. Then I bit my lips and sighed quietly.
".... Ai-kun.... I'm sorry." I mumbled.
"..."
The pressure was gone from against the door, and the doorknob was turned.
"You are a good girl." he bluntly pat my head.
".... If you don't want me to act like a child then don't treat me like one." I grumbled, while Ai only continued patting my head.
