"..."
"... You look beautiful, [F/N]-chan." Ringo's gentle voice breathed by my ear, as his hands softly gripped on my shoulders, looking straight into my reflection's eyes. My breaths were a bit shaky from excitement, as I looked over the gorgeous white dress the pinkette has designed himself only for me.
"... I-It's... breathtaking." I whispered with a large smile, as I gulped loudly. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.
"Obviously." I heard him chuckle softly, as he made me stand straight, running his fingers through my hair. "Now, stay still while I do your hair."
"R-Ringo-saan, I... I told you I don't need anything fancy." I mumbled shyly, looking down.
"You don't need... but you deserve." he smiled, sending a small, playful glare at my reflection just like a strict mother. "And I told you to stay still!"
"Oh geez..." I sweatdropped with a quiet giggle, as I let Ringo's soft fingers and huge brush do their job.
"There we go." he hummed as he finished, quickly brushing my hair to the front over my shoulder. "... half an hour left. Are you ready?"
"... Honestly, n-no?" I mumbled with a squeaky voice, smiling awkwardly.
"Haha, don't worry." he turned me around by my shoulders, now looking me in the eyes. "Everything's going to be okay. Alright? That's not your execution out there, that's your wedding."
"W-Well you have a way to make things dark." I sweatdropped, making him laugh and squeeze my shoulders.
"Trust me. From this day... everything's going to be different. In a good way. I'm positive."
"..." I bit my lips, quickly nodding.
"So be happy and confident. Okay?" he pat my head.
"A-Alright."
A second later, I heard a knock from the door.
Ringo looked up and sneakily opened the door only the slightest bit.
"Ah! It's you, Rei-chan, come on in." he cheered with the largest smile, swinging the door open wide, revealing the brunette.
Ringo quickly closed the door after him, as those hazel eyes immediately stuck to me, looking me up and down for seconds that seemed like an eternity.
"Uhm..." I mumbled quietly, dragging him back to reality.
"A-Ah- s... sorry." he chuckled awkwardly. "... y-.... you look.... uh...."
"... I think "breathtaking" is the word you're looking for." Ringo remarked quietly with a large smile.
"... y-yeah." Reiji slowly nodded with an awkward chuckle, his face turning the slightest red.
"Well, um... thanks." I smiled slightly. "Listen, Reiji, I-"
"No, no. It's fine." he quickly shook his hands.
"But..."
"No, [F/N], you listen." his hands softly grabbed my shoulders. "When I first met you, you... were just a small girl. You were only trying to do your best at your job, and... you were so stubborn and... cheerful. You really were like a child." he chuckled, looking away. "And now..."
"I've grown up..." I nodded with a chuckle. "Shocker."
He playfully rolled his eyes. "You've grown up to be the most gorgeous woman I've ever laid my eyes on."
"... Reiji..." I frowned.
"... and you are marrying somebody who truly deserves your love," he added with a large smile. "Until now, I didn't really believe in true love, but... you know, if some things are meant to be, then the two of you definitely are."
"..."
"Everything's going to be okay from now. I know that. And don't worry about me, okay? I'm really, really happy for you. Truly." he smiled. And, for once... I saw true happiness in his eyes.
"... Thank you, Reiji." I whispered, already feeling tears fill my eyes. "Ugh... I swore that I won't cry and I haven't even walked down the aisle yet..." I groaned with a smile, wiping my tears. I heard the brunette chuckle as well. "... w-which reminds me! Reiji... I need to ask you a question."
"... Uhm... what is it?" he blinked.
"... will you walk me down the aisle?" I asked quietly with a shy smile. He widened his eyes.
".... e-... eh...? M-Me...?"
"Yeah." I nodded widely.
"... b-but your father-"
"I already talked with my father." I giggled. "Can you really see Shining Saotome walking me down the aisle and keeping it serious?"
"... N-No, not really." he chuckled awkwardly. "Your brother...?"
"... Otoya's not awake yet." I mumbled with a frown. "..... B-But quit asking! I simply... want you to walk me down the aisle... i-if you want to, that is."
"O-Of course!! Yes!!" he smiled widely. "I... I would love to."
"... great. Thank you." I smiled.
