CHAPTER 7

*TRISHA'S POV*

Waking up really early thanks to my alarm. I was like a zombie when I arrived at the office. I had barely eaten anything in 2 days,I must get something to eat during lunch time or I'll pass out. Going over Mr Gardner's schedule, I informed him of the meeting he had by 10 am. He didn't even acknowledge my presence. I sensed that he loves working alone. I made sure I prepared the conference room just like I was told and during the meeting i took down some important notes.

Finally It was lunch time. I quickly went over to McGarry's to pick up Mr Gardner's lunch i was not taking any chances to be yelled at today . It took me less than 15 mins to get Mr Gardner's lunch and get back to the office. Well it should have taken me less if Rio didn't try to tease me. When i got to his office i knocked slightly before opening the door and as usual he was busy typing away on his computer.

"Here's your lunch sir" i said as i set it down on his table. He didn't acknowledge my presence as usual. Not knowing what to do i decided to take my leave.

"And where do you think you are going?" he said. I stop immediately and slowly turn around

"hmmm i want to get lunch?" i said in a more question-like manner

"you have work to do. i have some Chinese investors coming in tomorrow and i need everything to be perfectly done. understood" he said and i nod in agreement man i was starving .

"Use your words Miss Waston" now he was looking at me intensely

"y-yes sir" damn i hate myself for always feeling intimidated by this man, There was just something about him.

"Good. Now first things first, i'll need you to pass a memo down to Mrs Victoria telling her to ensure every department in this company must be on their best behavior tomorrow. Secondly i'll need you to find me the best Chinese translator in the whole country. I don't care how much it cost, just find me the best. Thirdly, i already sent you an email of some documents to print out. i'll need 15 copies each of those document. And lastly, i'll need you to be on your best behavior. i don't want any clumsiness tomorrow, this is a huge deal and i won't want you ruining it. Is that clear?"

"Yes sir" i said as i try to absorb all he just said

"Good. And i'll need you here as early as possible to set up the board room. And please try dressing a little better than whatever you are wearing right now" he said looking at me in such a distasteful manner. At that point i felt so insecure with what i was wearing do i dress that bad?

"okay sir"

"That will be all. You are dismissed" he said and immediately continued with whatever he was doing on his computer.

I left his office without altering another word. I was starving but i also had to get to work. Without wasting much time i went over to Victoria to pass on the information from Mr Gardner. After that i went to my office to search for the best Chinese translator in the country as Mr Gardner wanted. that was so hard to find. i kept searching and searching but i could not find any. i was so exhausted. Just as i was about loosing all hope i heard a knock at my door

"Come in" Behind the door was Victoria and she had some food with her as she came in the office

"I thought i should bring up some food for you. Hope i'm not intruding" she said as she set the food on my table

"You must be my guardian angel" she smiled at this. I thanked her as i didn't even wait for her to leave before i dug into the food.

"well i better get back to work. Enjoy" she said. As she was about to leave i remembered that i haven't found the Chinese translators.

"Wayt. i yave bwen woking for wsom cwinese twanswators"

"I think you have to swallow whatever you have in your mouth for me to understand you" she said with a little smile at the corner of her mouth. Smiling back i made sure to swallow whatever i was eating.

"I said i have been looking for some Chinese translators. Any idea where i can get one?"

"Sure. There is a site where you can get all types of translators for various languages. Here, let me show you" she said as she came over to my computer and showed me the site and also how i can get a Chinese translator.

"Wow thank you. You just made my life a lot easier" i said as i smiled widely at her. And to think i thought she wasn't nice.

"You are welcome. I have to get back to work" she said as she exited my office. finishing up my food i got talking with some translators and finally got the one i wanted and ensured she was aware of being punctual for the meeting tomorrow. After sorting that out i checked my mail and printed out all the copies Mr Gardner asked for. I checked my time and it was already past 7 . wow no wonder the office was awfully quite. Going over to Mr Gardner's office i knocked slightly before going in. He was already packing up to go home. Hallelujah

"I have made all the copies you asked and also found the Chinese translator"

"Okay. That will be all for today. You are dismissed. Remember you have to be here as early as possible, i don't want any mistakes tomorrow." He said

"Yes sir. I will be here as early as possible" i assured him because i could see that this meant a lot to him and i promised myself ill try my best to make sure this goes well. "Well sir, i'll be on my way. Have a lovely evening" i said and yes you guessed right, He didn't acknowledge my presence. I left his office and went to mine to get my bag. On my way out i saw him leaving his office also.

We both got to the elevator, i looked over to him as he was standing in front of his elevator and he looked out of it he must be nervous about tomorrow. I heard a ding, that was his elevator. i realized i haven't even pressed the button to the other elevator. i quickly snapped out of whatever trans i was and pressed on the elevator button. Looking over to the other elevator it was about closing and all i could see was a worried man. i really hope tomorrow goes well. With that i got into the elevator and went straight for the lobby.

Hailed a taxi to go to my apartment. When i got home i was super exhausted, took a long shower and got into something more comfortable. i called Elisa to tell her how my day went and how tomorrow is going to be a lot more stressful and trust Elisa to always reassure me and calm me down. With that she wished me luck as we got off the phone. I climbed into the covers of my bed and i made sure to set my alarm super early for tomorrow. Thinking and anticipating tomorrow i drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow... please be nice.
