It was Saturday at last. I made sure I didn't set my alarm so I could have a decent sleep. Waking up by 9 am it was really hard to leave the covers of my bed but I had a date with Rio today. I was happy about it because Rio seems like a really nice guy and also it's been a long week, I needed something to take my mind off things. I still haven't gotten a text from Rio about what time we should meet but I'm guessing he will text me soon. Going over to my bathroom I decided I needed a really long bath with a little bit of self-care time. I put on my face mask and brushed my teeth while jamming my favorite playlist on my stereo. In the middle of all this I heard a ping sound from my phone. Picking up my phone I opened up the text from an unknown number.9:36: Rio- "if you are still down for our "date" I'll be expecting you by 7. Is that good enough for you?"
I knew he was going to text soon. Smiling down at my phone I replied
9:37: Trisha- "I'm okay with that. See ya."
I could already feel my face burning from the face mask I kept on my face. dang it. I left it on for too long.
Rushing to the shower I washed off the mask and thankfully my face wasn't red like I expected it to be. I went ahead to have my bath. While in the shower I allowed my head to wander around and about things. Well much more specific things like my boss. He looked like beneath all that strong-willed and harsh facade, Mr. CEO sure had a heart, because why else would he give me back my job knowing very well I could have flopped the whole Chinese investors meeting. I just have to make sure I don't mess things up this time.Finishing up with a very relaxing bath I changed into something much more comfortable and decided to bring out the chef in me today. I went to the kitchen and with a few things available in the kitchen I whipped up a nice meal for myself. Cooking was like my comfort zone. I really enjoyed cooking and trying out new thing but these days I've been quite occupied with work but I sure felt a lot better after cooking this morning. I went over to the living room and decided I was going to catch up on all my favorite shows that I've missed during the week. that's going to take a while. After what felt like hours I checked my phone for the time and it was already 6 pm. I guess I should start getting ready for my date.
I looked through my closet and I was a little bit disappointed if I do say so myself. I really had absolutely nothing flattering in my closet to wear. I looked over and over again and I decided to settle for the light purple off-shoulder dress Elisa gifted me a long time ago. Thanks Elisa for saving my ass once again.
Taking a quick shower I put on my dress and deliberated on a little makeup, just mascara, and some gloss. I picked out my white sandal and my little white bag and I was all set and ready to go. I looked at the time and it was almost 7 pm. Taking a taxi I went over to McGarrys where I was supposed to meet Rio for our "date".I've been to McGarrys a lot of times during the week but every single time I walk through that door I'm still in awe of how amazing the place is. Scanning through the room I look for Rio and just at the corner of the restaurant I see a properly set table with a very good looking Rio signaling me to come over to the table. I walked over and he looked even better up close.
"Hi. Sorry I'm a little late" I said smiling at him
"Oh please. For a girl like you I could wait all day. You look really nice" he said smiling back with those pearly whites as he offered me a sit like a gentleman.
"So what would the lady like to have?" He asked.
