Love Finds a Way ( A KionxRani Story)

~Chapter 2~

The morning came to The Tree of Life, as Kion stretched out his body, and ruffled his mane. 

The young lion wonders of where Rani and the Night Pride was, considering that this is a new land he never been before. 

He walks through the beautiful landscape, as to due to his curiosity, he bumped into the lioness he wanted to see. 

The chestnut lioness rubbed her head, due to the bump as Kion backs up in an aplologic expression on his face as he said, to greet the future queen of the Night Pride. 

"Asubuhi njema, Rani." The young prince said , as Rani said, "Yeah, you too. Why you up this early?"

The lion looks at Rani with a curious expression, "That's the very same question I wanted to ask you. Where you going?"

Rani didn't reply to Kion's question right away, as Baliyo walks towards the two lions as he replies to Kion's question. 

"We are doing a morning patrol, we been doing this ever since Rani was little when our parents were around." 

Rani scolded her little brother, "Baliyo! You can't just tell him about our lives like that!" 

The brown lion rolls his eyes at his big sister's worried emotions as Kion said, very interested, "Do you mind if I join you? Nirmala would explain about my healing too." 

Rani wasn't too sure about this arrangement that Kion has proposed , but then her uncle, Surak, said, "It would be an honor of a Pridelander to join us. It's all right, Rani." 

Kion was truly amazed by Surak and his wisdom, it reminds him of how wise his father was, by remembering how Simba was teaching her about having one day of ruling over the Pridelands as the new queen when he was a cub, before discovering about The Lion Guard and the Roar.

He walks with the Night Pride as they begin their daily routine in the Tree of Life.  He couldn't honestly believe that Rani would have to be the next queen of the Tree of Life, at such a young age. 

"Um, Rani? I was wondering, where are your parents? Are they still around?" Kion asks with a curious expression in tempting to know her better. 

"Why you so keen about learning about my parents? You don't know them personally, and you shouldn't ask someone like that." Rani remarked as Kion said, "C'mon, it's just a question. I'm just curious that's all it is to it." 

Rani was going to snap rashly at the young lion, as Nirmala notices her niece's behavior. 

"Uh, Kion! How about we get started of getting you healed?" The lioness said, as Kion was confused by Nirmala's actions. 

"Ok? I guess we can get started." Kion said, rubbing his scar, as both lions were leaving the future queen. 

Baliyo went to his older sister's side, as he asks her, "You ok? I know talking about our parents isn't entirely easy." 

"I'll be fine, Baliyo. I just need some space to cool down before we continue on our patrol." Rani said, reassuring the brown lion. 

Baliyo wasn't too sure about it, but he decides to shake it off, as if he knew that is what his sister needed. 

Rani never forgets how their parents died. It was during a hunt with the whole family. 

Sahasi and Ananda were with their children. 

"Rani, Baliyo, you will learn how to hunt. Stay close behind the rocks and watch." Sahasi said to the young cubs. 

  Young Rani said, "Mom and Dad going to hunt! It's truly exciting!"
