Kion woken up very early at sunrise, before Rani can wake up. She was still asleep next to him, as Kion was smiling at the sight of the soon-to-be queen of The Tree of Life.

Kion thought about what Rani talked about meeting Mufasa again . Kion was a little bit nervous about summoning his grandfather after being away from him from a long time since the battle with Scar.

He takes a great look around, to make sure that nobody, including the Lion Guard would ever noticed of him speaking to his grandfather.

He looked up to the clouds above, as if he knew the day would actually come.

He took a deep breath, as he said the words that he never had the chance to say ever since he had his scar.

"Grandfather Mufasa?" He asks, summoning the old lion from the Great Spirits of the Past.

The lights shimmers as the familiar face that Kion wouldn't ever come face to face again after all this time.

Mufusa appears as he said to the young lion, "Kion, it has been a long time since you summoned me.

I was worried that you would've forgotten about me. "

Kion sighs with total regret, "I didn't forget about you, Grandfather Mufusa. The truth was.. I wasn't ready to face you.

I got this scar from this snake, named Ushari, and ever since I got bitten, my actions were out of control, I lost control of the Roar, made bad decisions .

I didn't want you to see me like this."

Mufusa listen to his grandson's reason of staying away , from ever contacting him. He gave an reassuring smile.

"Kion, it doesn't matter if you have a scar now. You should've talked to me about all of this. I was a bit concerned about you. " The spirit said.

Kion was silent for a bit, as he looks up to his grandfather, then he said, "Yeah, now i know that i should've talked to you at the very beginning of my troubles.

I'm so sorry about staying away, Grandfather Mufusa. From now on, I wouldn't be afraid to speak to you again."

Mufusa smiles, "Good. I've missed you."

Kion smiled a bit, as he replied back to the spirit, "Yeah. I've missed you too."

"Kion?" A voice asks as Mufusa whisk away by the sound of the voice.

Kion turns as to see Fuli who was awake too.

"Fuli. I didn't see you . What's up?" He asks her, curious of why the cheetah was awake so early.

The cheetah sighs, "We didn't see you when Makani announced Queen Janna's death. What exactly happened in there?"

Kion wasn't sure of telling Fuli that Queen Jana's final wish was for him to possibly stay at the Tree of Life instead of being in the Pridelands with his family and friends.

It would shock them if he told them that, but he knew that this wouldn't be the time to mention it to the Guard.

"I really think we should be preparing Rani's coronation . She's going to be Queen Rani soon. " Kion said, as he was walking to join Nirmala and the Night Pride.

Fuli said, "But Kion- "

The lion didn't listen to her as the cheetah really wants to tell him about that Kion really needs to stop spending time with Rani.

The cheetah finally realizes that she has really have a crush on Kion, but she really wants to tell him herself , alone , not with Rani.

The funeral for Queen Janna was heartbreaking for everyone, as Rani tries to put on a brave face as the animals send their farewells to the beloved queen.
