I can't help the smile that spreads across my face when I see him leaning against my locker. I take my time walking over to him to make myself appear less excited even though my heart is beating a mile a minute. When I get to my locker Jason pushes off the locker and reaches over to give me a hug. The minute his arms interlock around my neck the whispers begin. He pulls back and blushes before stepping aside so I can open my locker.
I grab his clothes out of my backpack and hand them to him before rummaging for my books. I hear giggles erupt and I close my locker turning around to see that Jason along with everyone in the hall is staring at me. Jason gives me one of his drop dead gorgeous smiles which help me forget about all the rumors that are floating through the school already.
He slips his hand into mine without taking his eyes off of me. I put a brave smile on my face as we head to class. At the door to instrumental exploration we stop simultaneously.
"I'm sorry for kicking you out so soon yesterday." I start to apologize, but he just smiles shaking his head at me.
"You don't have to apologize." He replies taking my face in his hands. He rubs his thump along my jaw, and I stand stock still with my eyes tightly shut just savoring the feel of him near me. Without warning his lips are connected to mine yet again. It starts out slow and loving but it doesn't last long as his tongue roughly parts my lips as he pushes me up against the wall. He kisses me begging for more and not heeding the fact that we are in school I wrap my legs around his body as he moves his body closer to mine.
I grab his hair between my fingers without letting our lips part for a second. We jerk apart as we are interrupted by a cough from behind us. We look over to see Mr. Risdon glaring down at us. I slowly unwrap myself from Jason and he sets me on the floor carefully. I can feel the heat radiating off of my face, and without looking over I know Jason is blushing too.
I start walking down the hall and I can't fight the temptation to turn around. I look back and see Jason wink at me with a look that makes the butterflies in my stomach flutter nervously. I look over at Mr. Risdon and see he has a tight hold on Jason's upper arm. That is before I start sprinting down the hallway desperate to get away from the stare I know is following me. I get into Biology just as the bell rings. I grab my notebook out and start coping down the data table that's written on the board. Mrs. Lassen comes in and groups us in our partners for the lab that goes with the data table. I look up at the board and internally grown to see that the lab is the same lab we do every year in science. The only point in it is to review microscopes and how they can be used to help in our everyday life.
Luckily though, I'm partnered with Alyssa Martins who is your smart girl that know most everything off the top of her head. I sit down at our lab table and start to set up the experiment as she fills out the pre-lab questions. By the time we answer the 10 pre-lab questions and set up everything we need we only have fifteen minutes left. We do the first experiment and get all our measurements wrote down in microns. Alyssa finishes the calculations just as the bell rings that signal my favorite class of the day, Music.
I'm in the mixed choir, and girl's ensemble with two weeks before our concert means my mind has no time to wander as I sit in class learning my part. I sit next to Americus who doesn't talk much but has the voice of an angel. I listen to her sing our part aloud and try to copy it as she points out my errors and tries to help me fix it. Despite being quite she is the nicest girl in school. Mrs. Eleanor asks us to take our folders home and practice so I pack up my stuff and walk out the door heading to math.
The whole way through the hallway I'm followed by whispering voices and giggles. I try to tune it out but the more I try the louder they get. I close my eyes trying to shut out the world when my school work is knocked from my hands and I'm lying on my back. I struggle to sit up as I'm grabbed under the arms and pulled into the janitor's closet down the hallway. I open my eyes to see none other than Courtney standing in front of me. I look to the sides to see her two "wannabes" grabbing my arms. Suddenly I'm scared remembering what they did to me on my first day.
